Yes, with school officially in session almost everywhere (almost because a coworker's kids don't start school until tomorrow and thus had to hang out with her at the office today) and everyone done with taking summer vacations, the roads are now pretty jam-packed! I ended up being three minutes late thanks to a) encountering a school bus immediately upon trying to leave the neighborhood and b) heavy congestion on the highway. Mom and I are already talking alternate routes and earlier times to leave to avoid at least the former. I didn't even know the bus came down our way! Welp, learn something new every day. . .and I didn't get in trouble for three minutes, since my coworker got in at the same time and my supervisor didn't make it in until about 9. Traffic beat all of us today. Still, not something to get in the habit of doing.

Work itself was much the same as it always is -- though we're starting to get rosters in from parishes for clean-up, so that's going to be an interesting project. (We're trying to stop so many duplicates/wives of married couples already in the system showing up.) At least it'll be a break from my DeceasedFinder -- that's slowly but surely inching closer to being done, though, so that's something. Whew.

After work, wrote some more on "Fixing You" -- revised the bit of the Unseen University magazine we see, and expanded some on Victor's history with Galswells. I don't actually have the pastor appear in this chapter at all, but Victor DOES get a rather unpleasant "welcoming party" once he's inside the village walls. . . Nothing too bad happens, but he does get shouty. Which, given how nasty I have his home village be to him, well, you can't blame him.

After that was more catch-up on stuff, and doing the RP queue -- ValiceMultiverse had a GLUT of questions. Ah well, keeps me in business, I suppose. That and watching a few short WhatCulture videos was basically my night. Nothing too out there, which I guess is good for a work night. Now if only it would cool down for a little bit. . . (Yeah, the day after we take out our air conditions proves to be hot and muggy. Irony at its finest, everyone.) Supposed to be a lot cooler and rainier tomorrow, though. I get the feeling fall is going to be as unsettled as the rest of the year's weather has been. At least we don't have to worry about hurricanes -- if you're in Irma's path and can get out of there, I think I would do so. :( Also apparently the west coast is on fire. Fun.

Anyway -- I gotta get to bed. Might steal a fan from the living room to help cool things down further in here. . . Also might move some boxes just to be sure nothing gets wet if rain starts coming in the windows overnight. Which it shouldn't, but -- better safe than sorry. *nods* Night all!
