Take you through it point by point:
-->Traffic on drive in, though not as bad as it was last Tuesday at least
-->Got official word that my supervisor has resigned, so yeah
-->Spent more time than I wanted doing parish weekly reports because I kept being pulled into other projects (like helping clear out the area that one of my coworkers is moving into, or trying to figure out why another report wasn't adding up correctly (turns out I'd run one of the queries before a certain gift had been processed for that day)
-->On that note, once again it seems like EVERYONE needs a slice of my time for whatever reason -- keeps me in a job, but it can get frustrating, you know?
-->Word from on high is that we're losing President's Day as a day off in favor of Easter Monday next year. I am actually not in favor of this, because having no automatic time off in February immediately makes it the Worst Month Ever. We do get a five-day weekend out of it this year (since it's already past President's Day, but the Bishop authorized Easter Monday as a day off), but I'd really just prefer to keep the current system. Well, I guess I do have plenty of vacation time. . .
-->Another nor'easter coming tomorrow sometime -- we're not predicted to get the worst of it, thankfully, but it's still going to be woolly tomorrow, particularly on the ride home. Fun. (Those of you who are going to get lots of snow, stay safe, all right?)
-->More traffic coming home -- why is it when I'm driving alone, it always takes me longer to get home from work? It wasn't even that BAD, it's just -- there was just enough slowdown. . .ugh.
-->Nice thing: Got a good page on "Secundus 2," with some nice emotional moments from Victor and lots of fun banter as Clara gets up to speed on the group's history and dynamics. Still rambling that I am probably going to pare down like CRAZY come editing, but it's nice to be able to do in a first draft.
-->Watched more of some Noel Fielding stand-up with dinner -- turns out he's more just weird than funny when he's on his own. He improvs a lot, and gets sidetracked, and -- well, Eddie Izzard can get away with that, but he sure can't.
-->Another nice thing: More Helloween/Klyka Resident Evil 6! Which is just completely ludicrous at this point, and in the best way. Entire set was more or less repeated "boss fights" against the same mutated guy who should have died at least five times by now. Hells and Klyka's commentary/banter is fantastic and really makes this ridiculousness watchable.
-->Less nice thing: A new Sims 4 stuff pack was announced, and it seems people are not happy. Mostly because it's a stuff pack for an expansion pack -- "My First Pet," to go with "Cats & Dogs." Adds a hamster (with various reskins), pet-themed furniture, and more clothes for cats and dogs (only available if you actually have them, of course). Pretty much everyone I've seen in the comments section of the trailer and The Sim Supply's reaction to it are like "this is SUCH a blatant money grab, SHAME on you EA." It's just -- I like The Sims 4, but I acknowledge that the stuff pack thing (which, yes, I've bought some, not gonna lie) is basically out of control at this point. A lot of those stuff packs are things that should have been folded into other packs. "Movie Hangout" is cool, but it should have been part of "Get Together" -- would have meshed well with the club thing; same with "Bowling Night." "Perfect Patio Stuff," "Romantic Garden Stuff," and "Backyard Stuff" should have all been a single game pack about outdoor activities. "Kid's Room" and "Toddler" could have been part of the "Parenthood" game pack, and so on. I'm hoping the backlash from that convinces EA to calm down on the stuff packs for a while, but -- well, it's EA. Not likely.
-->Back to nice things: Got my Valice Multiverse queue done with minimal fuss, and got ahead even further on my VictorLuvsAlice one. Yay productivity. And I've already answered my DW comments too!
Which means it's bedtime for me, honestly. I definitely still have work tomorrow at this point -- might get out early, but since we're not supposed to get the worst of it, we'll see. Then again, the tree outside my window might force the issue by falling. . .we'll see what happens. For now, night all!
