crossover_chick: gif of Doc gasping (BTTF: EEK)
If you're wondering WTF I mean by that -- well, we have trees in front of the building where I work, one of them rather close to my window. Today, after the storm on Friday, it was rather closer than usual. To the point where it was scratching on the window (or at least the side of the building) at lunchtime when the breeze picked up a bit. O.o That was -- unnerving, to say the least. I went downstairs to let the people in reception know, and apparently they're letting some forestry or tree-removing people know, since it's in serious danger of coming down. Hopefully they get there soon, though I know they've got a lot of other trees to deal with. . .

Work itself was all right -- I was able to get through some more processing company maintenance, some e-mails, direct debits, a big import, all of that. I was stymied by something to do with the capital campaign we're doing, though. One of the parishes did it early, and I'm in charge of making sure certain numbers add up to the amount in the checks they sent. I am currently not succeeding in that at all. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if they didn't send something over -- I'll need to talk to my boss about that. After I do the weekly reports in the morning, of course. Always something. . .

Evening's been pretty low-key -- watched the final set of the main Silent Hill 2 game from Helloween. Final boss time for Jamesy -- he managed to win and get the best ending! Go Helloween! SH2's not quite over yet -- there's a "sub scenario" focusing on one of the other characters, Maria, that he intends to complete as well. We'll see how that one goes! I also watched LGR's review of Jungle Adventures (he considers it fun, but felt like he burned through all the pack had to offer in just a few hours), an LGR Tech Tale about the Bonzi Buddy (a friendly assistant for Windows that was actually a tool to show you ads for another product from the same company), The Sim Supply taking on a Sim hedge maze in first-person camera mode (he did pretty well -- found the correct path to one area on the first try; stumbled into a few dead ends trying to get to the other), and some logic puzzles because I was vaguely intrigued by the thumbnail (solved a couple, though one was by virtue of having heard the puzzle before). Very YouTubey night, is what I'm saying.

On the productivity side, I wrote another "Imagine Me And You" short for posting later on, about Chester's birthday and the significance of the date for his parents (it's November 5th, which according to the extra content in A:MR, is also the date of the fire -- did not know that at the time). I also got all my current Sims pictures cropped and ready for posting, and queued up a few things for VictorLuvsAlice. Not bad, eh? Trying to keep on top of things.

Which means it's time for me to answer my two DW posts and head to bed. Busy day tomorrow, after all. Night!
