Much Lower Key Sunday
Apr. 1st, 2018 11:08 pmAnd very nice for it -- the worst anybody suffered today was having to wash our new red towels because goddamn those things were linty. I mean, you could have seriously mistaken what came out of the dryer lint trap afterwards for another little towel! O.o Hopefully they're all good now, 'cause jeez.
But yeah, I spent the day just bumming around the house, while my parents went out and about to get a few things from Wal-Mart and the dollar store and the like. Which included, at my request, Cadbury mini-eggs! :D Favorite candy ever, and since they only come out this time of year. . . Mom had to get the big package, since everybody was out of the little ones, so she poured me a mini-bowl and kept the rest for herself and dad. Things accomplished:
-->Writing more on my private AU thingy, which has become DEEPLY self-indulgent, but hey -- private AU
-->Watching the April Fool's Day Yandere Simulator videos (Yandere Dev did his own version of a Kubz Scouts video XD) and catching up with Jay's look at the latest build (released on Saturday, the game's 4-year development anniversary) -- some interesting lore in this one, and a new feature which is bugged as hell
-->Watching two other April Fool's videos -- a fake "Video Game Secrets" list from RabbidLuigi, and a fake "I'm quitting The Sims" from onlyabidoang, a guy who does mod showcases for Sims games and the "Sims Logic" series (which is very amusing)
-->Playing a rather short but satisfying session of Sims with Eric Embers -- he got a promotion to Sergeant at work! And I got him to my movie theater lot, which was -- utterly depopulated. O.o Dunno what happened there, but -- hey, at least I got no slowdown. And Eric was able to watch a movie and eat popcorn. LOTS of popcorn, as it turned out. Note to self, buy him a popcorn maker as a reward for getting promoted
-->Catching up on my Helloween! We had a video he did about a recent Kickstarter for a new game by the director of Deadly Premonition (The Good Life, where you're a photographer trying to pay off a massive debt back home in New York while in the English countryside; also there's a murder at some point; also also you sometimes randomly turn into a cat or dog at night); his April Fool's video, a "Cooking With Helloween" entry in which he made naughty gingerbread people (gingerbread ladies with boobs, gingerbread genitalia, that sort of thing); his latest Bayonetta 2 set (once again all attempts at getting to the mountain are punished by angels smashing up your shit, and there is another epic mirror-match style fight against the Lumen Sage where angels and demons battle in the background -- this time in the belly of a giant manta ray demon which ends up exploding as a result); and his latest Deadly Premonition set (the lumber mill is a place of eldritch horrors, poorly animated ham-water in toilets, creepy cult activity, and terrible quick time events against a serial killer in a raincoat). Good times!
-->And currently doing a bit of the RP thing on DW while working on ValiceMultiverse's queue.
So yeah -- as I said, lowkey day, but it was nice to just laze around a bit. Last day off tomorrow!
. . .and it's supposed to frigging snow. -.- I know I should be used to April snow by this point, but it's like -- every year I get my hopes up that we won't have any. . . Meeeeh. Well, g'night all.
