No Reading TV Tropes On Work Nights, Vic
Apr. 5th, 2018 11:44 pmNot that I usually do -- but I had to restart my computer after it started getting glitchy while I was drafting a bunch of stuff from a steampunk blog for later (it's better now, thankfully), and I started poking around on my iPad to amuse myself, and -- yeah. Fortunately I managed to tear myself away to get my Valice Multiverse queue drafted and answer a few things here and there, but still. . .gotta save that sort of thing for when I don't have to be up by a certain time in the morning!
With that in mind, a few quick highlights from my day:
-->Work was stressful, as usual -- had to make mailing labels for a parish, do another import, do the gift sync for our processing company, and take a look at that capital campaign stuff from one of the parishes. Trying to make sense out of it all is kind of frustrating, but our numbers and theirs HAVE to add up eventually. Gonna keep working on it tomorrow and hopefully get it straightened out in time for the next report.
-->Wrote some more on "Secundus 2" -- the gang assuring Jennifer's dad that Doc and Clara are head over heels for each other, and everybody heading to the dance floor for a bit of square-dancing :)
-->Watched another episode of "Super Sim" (Max is flirting his way to success in the Serial Romantic aspiration, and also riding a wave of crime in the Public Enemy one -- now he has to kiss AND get into a bunch of fights with other Sims. . .); a "Fun With Shorts" showing off some "Alcohol Trigger Videos" from the 70s (three shorts about what doofuses people can be when drunk, basically, though the worst that happens is some drunk driving from a mother who doesn't actually get in an accident); and Helloween's latest System Shock 2 set (the computers have been reprogrammed, the recreation deck is open, Helloween has the ability to run around as an invisible fiery death man (and tried it out on a robot, which is immune to fiery death), and save scumming allowed him to find goodies in a "sensual simulator," only for him to realize when he went back to the previous save that the thing he needed to access said simulator was broken (by his own poor hacking, no less), and he didn't want to re-up the skill needed to repair it because it cost too many upgrade points). Fun times!
And, besides upping my queues/answering some RP comments, that's about it. Time to hit the sheets. One more day to go. . .I know I shouldn't say that about a short week, but this time of year is stressful with the NORMAL amount of people, and with our staffing not getting any better anytime soon. . .
