crossover_chick: Doc looking very sarcastically over his shoulder (BTTF: in a sarcastic mood)
Yeah, uh, it was a rough day. Starting from my morning commute -- Mineral Spring was a PARKING LOT this morning. I got out of our garage about 8:06, and it wasn't until 8:25 that I ended up at the onramp for the highway. Naturally, I was late for work by about fifteen minutes, which I decided to make up by cutting out my morning break. THEN I had to deal with our database program being a crashy piece of shit that doesn't work right and wouldn't let me do things I'd done plenty of times before. THEN I took a walk at lunch that was much chillier than I expected because it took longer than I thought to warm up. THEN I had to scramble to get all my work done by about 3 o'clock because the new vendor for our credit cards were coming in to give us some training on the new site. THEN said vendor got lost and came in late, THEN we kept running into equipment problems in setting up the demo they wanted to show us, and THEN the whole thing ran over -- meaning I didn't get out of work until 5 o'clock. A full HALF HOUR after the place closes.

*heavy sigh* Have I mentioned I hate work now? Seriously, I have gotten to the point where I dread going in, simply because I always have so much to do. It didn't used to be like this, but ever since our staff got basically decimated. . . I actually ended up crying a few times today, including a pretty epic jag when I finally got home and tried to tell my parents what had me so upset. It was just -- a bit much today.

The ironic thing, though? I GOT EVERYTHING I HAD TO GET DONE, DONE. Largely because a certain file I was expecting to take ages went reasonably quickly. Small victories, as I've been saying.

It hasn't been the most productive of evenings as a result -- we were going to take a walk before supper, but my lateness (and the fact that it apparently RAINED in North Providence for a bit while I was at work) scuppered that idea. We had a nice supper, though, and I got another page on "Secundus 2," showing off a bit of Marty and Jennifer's wedding rehearsal. Then I watched a "Fun With Shorts" about juvenile probation (it's duller than it sounds), and an OXtra video about more "stealth" takedowns that are anything but. I also got my Wednesday Sims post queued up on VictorLuvsAlice, and my replies queued up on ValiceMultiverse. So that's good. Just gotta clear out the inbox now and I'll be good to go. *sigh* Let's see if the second day of May is any improvement on the first.
