Freaking Cold Monday
Jun. 4th, 2018 11:35 pmI am so done with RI weather, seriously -- it was super-muggy and in the 80s on Saturday, and then today it barely gets up to 55. With rain pretty much all day. *grumbles* Tomorrow is supposed to be more seasonable in the morning, but then turn rainy again in the afternoon. Lovely. At least the rest of the week is supposed to get better. . .just in time for PVDfest, which means I have to find an alternate walking route on Thursday and Friday. *grumbles* Apparently there's gonna be tons of alcohol at that thing too -- fuuun.
Yeah, sorry for sounding so grouchy -- part of the problem is the usual kind of stressful day at work (including having my lunch break interrupted multiple times AGAIN -- oh, I am SO looking forward to when it'll be only ME on Wednesday), and part of the problem is me PMSing. Period's acomin', I know, and I always get more easily annoyed by everything when it's on its way. *sigh*
Some good things came out of today, though:
-->Got another page on "Fixing You" -- Alice and Victor at the memorial park I had Oxford build for the Liddells (because I thought it was a sweet idea). They'll talk a bit about Wonderland, then it's back home to tell June her brother's Bonejangles!
-->Watched both Helloween showing off an indie game called Cultist Simulator (sort of a video board game, where you use cards to do things like work, keep yourself fed and clothed, gather new disciples, research lore, go on dreaming journeys, enact rituals, destroy evidence and nosy investigators, all sorts of stuff. Made by the guy behind Fallen London too, so if you like that game. . .) and another episode of "Super Sim" (Max hosted a very successful weenie roast (putting my own disaster with the Van Dorts to shame), and James bemoaned the fact that their caterer dying on them last episode meant everyone was basically sad forever XD On the plus side, Max is THIS CLOSE to maxing out Comedy skill and thus fulfilling another Aspiration! And, on the horizon, City Living looms. . .)
-->Got a picture for this Saturday's special "Victor's birthday" post on tumblr -- involved the remains of the giant cookie Mom mad and my dolls. I think everyone will think it's cute -- I certainly do.
And now it is time to go to bed -- got another busy day at work tomorrow. Fortunately it is also a SHORTER day, so that's nice, at least. Hopefully I'll feel less bitchy. Night all!
