Work All Right, Afternoon Stressful
Jul. 9th, 2018 11:24 pmYeah, I don't think I care for these "flip the scripts" days. Work, as indicated above, was all right -- caught up on some stuff that arrived after we left on Friday, ran a bunch of reports (basically catching up on all the ones I needed to get done), did some imports, and even managed a bit of maintenance. All with the minimum amount of people breathing down my neck. So that was good.
And then I got home, and. . .well, Mom and Dad apparently already had a stressful day (my aunt came over for a while, so Mom had to make some cleaning and rearranging happen, and Dad was driving all over the place for mailing supplies), and Dad STILL needed to go out and about, so I ended up (around doing a YouTube workout (it got hot this afternoon again, though I did at least get out for a walk at lunch), and taking my shower):
-->Folding the laundry that got done (apparently Mom was having trouble with the washing machine, so there's still a bunch of stuff waiting down in the basement -- at least I got my nightgown back)
-->Making supper (hot dogs and fries, nothing too major -- fries just need a bit of special care because you've got to flip them)
-->Washing the dishes (Dad was busy watering our plants because the heat has not been good to them)
-->And, on a personal chores level, paying off my credit card and topping up my phone minutes
As you might imagine, this ended up cutting into my time for doing anything else. Good thing I'd already planned to take this week for doing shorter bits of writing. . . Ended up doing a short sequel to a bit of fic I did for tumblr about Victor getting wings, which featured him trying out flying for the first time (he isn't very good at it, but he gets airborne briefly!). Then I watched the silliest episode of "Super Sim" yet, in which the majority of the episode was James WRITING DOWN A LIST OF THINGS HE WANTED TO DO WITH MAX based on somebody's comment list. On-camera too! XD To be fair, this was around the time of another of his trips away, so he wanted some stuff to do for his prerecorded episodes, but still. It was kind of hilarious to see him scribbling away on a piece of paper while Max just played the pipe organ in the actual game. XD To be fair, James DID do one major thing -- FINALLY got Max and his partner Nathalie married! Very quickly in the park, with just their kids to see, but it still counts. There were even fireworks! Fun part is, I'm pretty sure she dies in the next episode, so. . .
And then after that was just the usual rounds of catching up on stuff. Got my Wednesday Sims posts done, at least, so I'm still ahead on my queue. And I know what I want to do for the rest of the week, pretty much, so that helps. *nods* Hopefully the rest of this week will be okay -- and the rest of my afternoons quieter! That would be good, thanks.
For now, time to empty out the inbox. Night all!
