Fairly Okay Thursday?
Aug. 9th, 2018 11:37 pmIt was hot, but the humidity's gone down some; there were some tough moments at work (including having to track down a check that ended up in the entirely wrong place and get used to my new computer), but I managed to get started on the project I've been meaning to do all week; the weather's looking unsettled for my vacation, but it's not the total washout we fear yet. I guess that counts as fairly okay. I'll take it over Tuesday, at any rate.
Afternoon's been pretty good -- found a new workout video for my "FitVic" playlist. 20 minutes, but I worked up a hell of a sweat! We had a nice dinner, and then I finished up edits on Chapter 3 of "Fixing You!" Victor and Alice have a plan of attack for the events that will make up the rest of the story. Next chapter we switch over to Victor's POV, and get a look at just what's been going on in that brain of his. (It's -- not exactly pretty.)
After that was the usual lot of videos -- a short look at the new Valkyria Chronicles 4 from Helloween (who is clearly having a blast with the demo and its battles); an old house build from The Sim Supply (one that's meant to be a converted water tower! It was a pretty cool-looking build, even if a tad inconvenient for any Sim that can't immediately teleport up to the third-floor bedroom); a video about less-than-stellar hacking minigames from OXTra (although the comments suggest I might not be in the minority for liking the pipe minigame from BioShock -- or at least it's a larger minority than first thought); and another episode of "Super Sim" (James indeed cheesed the last bits of the two remaining vampire aspirations by moving Nathalie (temporarily) and Kareem (permanently) out and having Max hibernate whenever he didn't have to be at work; Max is now a normal Sim and in a new house in Brindleton Bay! And James just realized that he's going to have to get a pet XD Just after finally kicking out the last kid too!). All good stuff -- and I've got a bunch more "Rags to Riches Seasons" to catch up on too. :)
That's for later, however -- I've just set up my ValiceMultiverse queue, and made sure I've got my "hey I'm taking a vacation and my tumblr activity is gonna go down a lot" messages ready to go for tomorrow on both that and VictorLuvsAlice. Right now, I gotta answer the stuff currently in my inbox and hit the sheets. One more (half) day -- let's see how well I get through it! Night all!
