Not A Quiet Thursday For My Sims
Aug. 16th, 2018 11:26 pmAnd not just because it was Friday in-game. Now that the patch is in and screenshots are back to decent quality, I felt comfortable actually playing the Van Dorts in their new house. And while a good chunk of their day was settling into the new place and enjoying life, there were a few notable events that happened:
-->Alice planted a money tree for the family -- I used Victor's aspiration points to grab a fruit from the rewards store. It's right next to the Plasma Fruit tree outside the greenhouse. This is going to be useful, as their new house cost them a pretty penny and they'll probably need help with bills. (Although Alice did paint another masterpiece and get them a decent amount of cash, so. . .)
-->Victor transformed into a vampire! Happened midway through a walk with Scraps, no less. His initial dark form was, as Alice's before him, ridiculous, so once I got him home I popped into Manage Households and edited it in CAS. Made him blue, as is only right and proper given his canon, gave him a few facial markings that kinda suggest rot, and planned all his outfits for his Dark Form. Alice has been training him in how to best use his powers -- I'm working them both through the Master Vampire aspiration to get the aspiration points and level up their power points. Speaking of which. . .
-->Alice achieved Grand Master Vampire! That means she's at the height of her power (sort of; she still can earn power points) and is the equal of any fanged Sim she comes across. I haven't chosen her new powers or weaknesses, though -- mostly because something happened that kind of distracted me. You see, she and Victor grabbed some random passers-by for a drink of plasma once night fell. . .
-->And right after Victor finished drinking from his Sim, HE WAS FUCKING ABDUCTED BY ALIENS. I'm not kidding -- my first-ever abduction! I was seriously shooketh. They returned him after a little while, and he didn't seem any worse for wear. . .
-->That is, until, midway through a painting, he started clutching his stomach and thinking about rattles.
VICTOR MAY BE PREGNANT WITH AN ALIEN BABY. This is a SLIGHT problem as the house only has two bedrooms. (Well, okay, TECHNICALLY on the gallery it's listed as having four, but I turned the two ground floor ones into Alice's art studio and Victor's music room respectively.) I mean, I was PLANNING on eventually creating a basement space for Victor and Alice to have a pair of coffins in case they ever needed to sleep (currently they're just using their old bed, but I'm likely to get the "can only sleep in coffins" weakness for both of them simply because it's a fairly safe weakness to get), but that was going to be after they'd earned a bit more money! And I was going to ADOPT any potential second kid! O.O Well, I guess we'll see for sure what's happening tomorrow, when I go back in after our Kimball Farms trip. . . Cripes, two weeks of almost no updates, and then suddenly I'm going to drop a doozy on the tumblr crowd. My game sometimes. . .
In real life, I didn't have a particularly exciting day -- just hung around the house, really. Though I did start edits on Chapter 5 of "Fixing You" -- and got Chapter 3 posted online! Read it on FF.net or on AO3. So that was good. :) I also watched a bunch of OXBox/OXTra videos, new and old, and got my VictorLuvsAlice queue done up through the first part of Sunday. Fairly productive of me, I must say. Though it's in my best interest to get my buffer up early, as I do have that big Canobie Lake Park trip on Sunday, and then it's right back to work on Monday. At least I still have two weeks of half-day Fridays after my vacation ends. . .one of which butts up against a three-day weekend, so that's nice.
But that's still in a few days, and I have to get up normal work time for our trip out mini-golfing, as Mom needs to get back in time for her job and it's just over an hour away. *salutes* Night all!
