Happy Flux Capacitor Day!
Nov. 5th, 2018 10:04 pmAnd unhappy "Alice's house burning down day," which is what it's felt a bit more like. Kind of a tough day at work -- my coworker had a rough Friday which included not being able to get the GL sorted, so I spent a good chunk of my day helping her sort that out. Not to mention being pulled in all sorts of other directions by my e-mail and the phone. So much to freaking do and never enough time. . . And then, the drive home turned out to be one of those "longer than necessary" ones because it's now dark out earlier AND it started raining (which ALWAYS leads to trouble). Did get the highest priority stuff sorted, and got home in one piece, so that's good, at least.
Did my workout, had supper, then did some writing -- gift fic for a friend who's birthday is this Sunday. Though. . .I'm not entirely sure I had the right friend in mind while writing this. I was aiming for something about cute dresses, and instead got a fic about Alice arguing with Nell about some 500-pound overly-elaborate horror-dress she wanted Alice to wear for her wedding. Seems a bit more suited to the one who once did a post about Alice and Nell fighting over her wedding dress. . . We'll see what I can do with it later in the week. I am DETERMINED to write some more on Chapter 9 of "Fixing You" this week! And that the chapter see the light of day this month! Especially since the chapter right after it is the famous "Victor in Wonderland" chapter, and thus is going to need some extra time too. . .
Anyway, managed to sneak in some videos after all that -- catching up on some Sims stuff! Including, as I said, the next episode of "Super Sim Challenge!" James proceeded to just BREEZE through the Archeology Scholar aspiration with Max with a quick trip to Selvadorada that didn't even include completing the temple! I guess that's what happens when you have a Sim whose needs almost never go down and who is immune to many bad moodlets. James was bragging about completing the "Jungle Adventure" game pack in a half-hour -- and then he got reminded that there's a whole other aspiration, not to mention a whole other skill, to complete. XD Well, save it for the next episode, I guess. I also FINALLY got to watch CallMeKevin's foray into Sims 2 (he made a house where there are three "mole people" living in the walls XD also there were multiple fires and the headmaster rejected teenage Jim Pickens for private school twice XD), and checked out a Deli video where she had to recreate a floor plan she found on Google in Sims 4 (she picked a cool Y-shaped house and really made it work!). So that was all fun.
And now it's the usual run of catching up on websites and seeing what I have to answer in the inbox. And getting my queue done on VictorLuvsAlice. . .trying to be prepared! Especially since it's looking like a busy week ahead. . . Night all!
