Doing Less Than I Thought Saturday
Dec. 1st, 2018 11:34 pmMom ended up putting off the decorating until next weekend -- reason being, it's supposed to be pretty awful tomorrow weather-wise, and she's not keen on putting up the decorations outside, only to have stuff blow all over the yard and get soaked. This is reasoning I can understand, so yeah, happening next Saturday. So the only big project I had was getting my room cleaning back on schedule, hooray~ Took a while, but then again, it always does. Shelves full of toys are fun to display, but damned if they aren't a bitch to clean.
Other things accomplished today:
-->Started one of the new shorts for "The Technicolor Phase!" Alice Brown -- which is an Emily-POV short about this gang visiting Wonderland for the first time all together (Elder Gutknecht was able to add in the "Travel Into Fantasy" spell into the mix he cast letting Emily visit Victor and Victoria and vice-versa), and Emily discovering that she's got a living body while there. And then realizing that she might have some feelings for Alice. A bit tough to get the first draft started (which I attribute partially to a mental energy ebb around the time I was writing), but I know where I want to go from here, so that's good.
-->Played Sims 4 -- yeah, I know I usually play BioShock Infinite on Saturdays, but I decided to switch it around since I really wanted to get the Positivity Challenge done before it expired. And, happily, I succeeded! Eric made a new friend, did eleven good deeds, and got all four posters and the new "Kindness Ambassador" trait! :) He also had a very successful Egg Day, had a nice trip to one of Windenburg's coffee houses, and officially became boyfriends with Andy! Aaaand had his blood sucked by a vampire. ^^; Can't win 'em all! At least he recovered fairly quickly.
-->Watched The Sim Supply's latest two videos -- a Q & A vid (including the tidbit that he's known his current roommate since they were 8 years old!), and the latest "Get Famous Rags to Riches" episode (Lady II is still being run ragged by her children, but has gotten into music production to earn some extra cash and is still doing super well in all her gigs. Also, the Sims 4 team REALLY needs to add different styles of dancing into the game, as the current style looks SO WRONG in the "Singing In The Rain" pastiche she was doing in today's ep XD). Also an RT video about "Pokemon Let's Go Eevee" in which he named characters things like "Brexit" and "Content ID." XD There's nothing quite like hearing an Irishman pretend a Pokemon battle is YouTube taking down someone's video.
-->Got up a cute but sad Scene from Secundus after some rewriting: mirror. It's a moment from Victor's childhood, and basically shows just how lonely he could get during playtime. Poor kid. . .
And now I'm doing some of the RP thing on tumblr -- got a whole new thread going with a whole new person, and my response took WAAAY longer than I wanted (mostly because I could not figure out what I wanted to say at the beginning). Got it figured out in the end, though. . .but now I've got another thread I need to answer, and the stuff in my inbox to take care of, and -- basically it's the usual busy Saturday night, so I'd best be off. Night all!
