OXMas Thursday
Dec. 20th, 2018 11:15 pmYeah, that's what I ended up spending my evening watching -- I actually had no new videos in my subscriptions, so I decided to catch up on my OXMas! In order:
-->A video detailing all the ways Santa has been abused in video games (from having his clothes stolen by Agent 47, to being possessed by a demon, to being trapped in a virtual reality by an evil doppleganger. It's tough to be Kris Kringle)
-->Andy's latest OXMas Challenge (three attempts to vault onto his horse from the balcony of a certain hotel in Red Dead Redemption 2. He made it on try 3 by the skin of his teeth, so everything's all tied up at 2 points apiece)
-->The three OXTra OXMas Challenges -- Luke and Ellen go head to head! They had to see who could get the closest to the top of a certain mountain using modded rocket boots in Skyrim (Ellen, amidst tons of laughter at how ridiculous the rocket boots actually are); who could go from the pier to the Observatory in GTA V Online the fastest (Ellen again, with no help from Luke -- they went sequentially using the same character, and Luke got said character wanted by the police. Ellen actually ended up dying -- but then the respawn put her AHEAD of where she was, so it kind of worked out); and who could catch a side-mission pigeon the fastest in Spider-Man for the PS4 (Luke this time, as the Spirit Spider -- a weird white and blue-themed Spider-Man WITH A FLAMING SKULL FOR A HEAD WHAT THE HELL GAME). So Ellen 2, Luke 1 so far. Four more days to go!
So that was a nice way to end the day. :p Especially since work was a little rougher today -- some stuff with the final batches I ran on the old system that needed resolving. (Nothing I did, more of a case of "people need to TELL ME THINGS so I can do my job properly.") And I got two batches in for the capital campaign right at the wire -- really wanted to get them in today, though, so it was a win of a sort. And I got cookies at an office get-together that happened today, so can't complain. Still, glad there's only one more day. Now if only the weather wasn't supposed to be utterly miserable. . .
Anyway! I also got another gift fic edited (the one that was giving me trouble a couple of days ago, no less), and completed my tumblr queues. VictorLuvsAlice is up to the first half of Sunday -- and I've decided that I'm not going to worry overmuch about it next week, as a Christmas present to myself. I want to enjoy my time off instead of stressing about posts. I'll probably queue up a few things -- like the gift fics, and a Sims update -- but I'll let things like the specific theme days I do slip. Gotta give myself room to breathe and recharge, you know? (And catch up on my Forgotten Vows chapters. . .) RP tumblr -- we'll see how I feel. I might just stick to my regular schedule and not worry about it beyond that. *shrug*
Speaking of RP, I've got the usual round of comments to clear out before bed, so better get on that. Just got that one last day to go! Night all!
