Missing The Obvious Day
Jan. 31st, 2019 11:35 pm-->I missed while putting on all my checks yesterday that two for the regular appeal got into the capital campaign pile -- fortunately I caught the mistake before the money ended up in the wrong account.
-->I missed that one of the online giving batches had an appeal gift mixed in with a bunch of capital campaign ones, meaning I was all stressed out right before lunch trying to figure out why my GL wouldn't balance.
-->I missed in Helloween's latest Resident Evil 2 REmake set that one of the new antagonists wasn't talking about an actual pig when he described turning one into taxidermy in his creepy taxidermy journal (to be fair, Helloween missed it as well, mostly because the previous entry was creepy enough).
-->And I missed that I had a PERFECT opportunity to give Victor one of his Wonderland weapons until I happened to mention my plans for sneaking in the Quill Bow and said that I didn't know how I was going to get it in (admittedly, the weapon in question, the Altar Candle, is one I don't think about often -- it's his equivalent to the Clockwork Bomb, and it only occurred to me while I was typing the name that GALSWELLS BASICALLY HANDED IT TO HIM IN THE MOCK REHEARSAL HE MAKES HIM RUN THROUGH. So now I have some notes in Chapter 14 and will need to rewrite some bits).
Yeah, kind of one of THOSE Thursdays -- at least everything was easily cleared up, and the latter two aren't going to affect my job performance. And I did get some good stuff in this afternoon:
-->More writing on Chapter 14 of "Fixing You," introducing the Cannery Snark -- though, as I said, tomorrow is actually going to involve some rewriting of an earlier section so I can introduce the Altar Candle. At least I have an idea of where Victor can first use it offensively. . .
-->Watched The Sim Supply's sort-of-recap on "Super Sim Challenge" -- he wants to do a proper montage and everything, but he doesn't have the time (traveling in a few days). So instead he did a quick run-through about everything Max has currently accomplished, everything he still needs to accomplish, and forgetting that he fed Max's first husband to a cow plant. XD Looking forward to the "proper" recap, and the next "season" of this!
-->Watched Helloween's latest RE2 set, as I said above. Claire's lost Sherry to a very nasty fellow named Brian Irons -- impeccable police chief in the eyes of the public, scumbag lowlife working with the worst of Umbrella to Claire and us. Also, there are far too many Lickers constantly trying to chew on us, and a mysterious white-masked "man" who is now chasing Claire with a single-minded determination to wreck her. AND Claire's looped back around INTO the police station she was trying to get out of in the FIRST place and had to shoot her now-zombified buddy Marvin. :( This is basically Claire's No-Good Very Bad Day. At least she's found some new keys for those locked doors she couldn't open. And enough herbs to keep her alive when Helloween accidentally ran her into a bunch of Lickers while trying to escape Creepy White-Masked Fedora Guy. (Seriously, the Lickers are SO FUCKING SCARY, we had SO many jumpscares from those bastards)
-->Got my VictorLuvsAlice and Valice Multiverse queues set up, go me. Helped that I knew exactly what I wanted to do this Saturday -- it's Groundhog Day, so I grabbed an appropriate song. XD
And now I have to empty out the inbox and go to bed. Just one more day. . .and one that won't be quite as cold as today. Seriously, just walking to and from the parking lot was horrible -- I rewarded myself with some hot chocolate. If there was ever a day for it. . .anyway, night!
