Pretty Productive Saturday
Feb. 9th, 2019 11:12 pmLet's see what I got accomplished from my list:
-->Usual Room Clean -- yeah, pretty simple. Dust, Swiffer, vacuum -- I had to stop in the middle for lunch, but still got it done pretty fast!
-->Starting BioShock Infinite: Burial At Sea Chapter 2 -- Yup! Started off with a very pretty Parisian dream sequence, then back into the delightful hellhole that is Rapture -- this time as Elizabeth! An Elizabeth who has lost all her cool powers due to her decision to go back and make sure Sally was safe after, you know, burning her alive in her vent before. While I applaud Elizabeth's choices having consequences, I am similarly a bit annoyed that I now have to play in super stealth mode because she doesn't have the cool stuff anymore. Ah well -- it's working out so far. Knocked out a few splicers, picked up a tranq crossbow and my beloved hand cannon, got a look at what education looks like in Rapture (as you might imagine, not good). And I am currently on the verge of seeing what houses of ill repute look like in Rapture XD Which, I guess I already did in the FIRST game while tracking down Jasmine Jolene, but still. First game didn't have hilarious kinectoscope "movies" about how you should get a contract in writing before doing any sex acts with anyone. XD Good stuff, so to speak. :p
-->Editing the next "Technicolor Phase" chapter -- Got that done right after BioShock! All in one go too, so I'm in good shape. Only two more chapters to edit -- the Alice one where she realizes she too is in love with the gang; and a final "babies ever after" chapter (at least with Victor and Victoria). Funny to think I'm so close to done with this. . .grown kind of fond of this weird little verse. I'm glad I went ahead and did something with the prompt that inspired it. :)
-->Posting the next "Scenes From Secundus" -- And heavily rewriting it in the bargain. Look, you guys know me by this point -- I can never leave well enough alone. :p And I really think the new version of the story is a big improvement on the old one. :)
-->Making Valicetines -- I made one! One of the old photo mashup ones, inspired by a song I've heard on the radio. I still want to do my "cat person, dog person -- you're my kind of person" idea -- I'm just not sure where to put my toys to best photograph them. . . Hmmm. Still, if worse comes to worst, I have SOMETHING to post for Thusrday.
-->Clearing out some of my Watch Later queue on YouTube -- Got the two OXBox/OXtra videos out of the way! 7 times a countdown made you beyond stressed out (Sonic's drowning music immediately made the list), and 7 times where reports of a protagonist's death were -- well, true, but because they're the protagonist they still got to come back to life (including a creepy one from Wolfenstein: The New Colossus where the NPCs save only the protagonist's HEAD post a decapitation -- didn't really need to see that, OXBox!). Also watched the end of Helloween's Doom (2016) playthrough -- some final demon slaughtering, some releasing the wraiths of former soldiers from their bonds, some depowering demonic wells, some fighting a giant spider brain creature. The game ends on an awful cliffhanger, but fortunately the sequel has been confirmed and is apparently coming out this year! So that's something to look forward to. :)
-->Usual queuing on tumblr (plus I want to change my theme for Valice Multiverse) -- working on both right now! Found a good theme that's CALLED "Accessible" and making a few edits to a couple of pages (mainly, I'm acknowledging that Valice Multiverse is definitely a multimuse now -- Alice regularly answers asks, so it only makes sense to "promote" her at least to "main character" status). So now I should be in a better place to link information contained on that.
-->Usual roleplay stuff -- And I'm just about to get to this.
Not bad, right? Hopefully I can keep up the momentum on Sunday. . .though I do have a small TV Tropes binge of Doom (2016)'s page planned since Hells finished it. I think I can manage the few items left on my list, though. Now time to finish cleaning up that theme. . . Night all!
