Unexpectedly Nicer Tuesday
Feb. 26th, 2019 11:10 pmWork was -- quieter? Much fewer instances of people piling on me for stuff, meaning I could get a lot more of those waiting checks on. I did get sucked into my coworkers' thing, helping her find the information she needed -- which is good, as we found some stuff that needed to be corrected along the way. Wind has calmed down some (though it's still freaking cold), power stayed on all day, and -- generally, it's just been calmer. I appreciate it.
I also appreciate:
-->Making my breakfast muffins -- I overfilled two cups so I have two really big muffins and ten rather smaller ones. XD But hey, as long as they taste good, I'm set.
-->Getting another chunk done on Chapter 16 of "Fixing You" -- pretty much finished the Conglomeration "boss fight." Yeah, I know that was surprisingly quick, but it was supposed to be. Victor's going to realize that maybe that was all a TOUCH too easy in just a few moments. . .
-->Watching another episode of The Sim Supply's Strangerville series with Romeo. He got in a few good digs on the lack of different ceilings in the game; Romeo returned fire by praising him for reading all the little notes (something James almost NEVER does in his actual LPs). But it's all in good fun, and it's been neat to see the story evolve as James does various activities (at the prompting of Romeo, of course).
-->Watching the newest StrangerVille trailer, which I personally think is a lot of fun. It's a promotional ad for the town that gets co-opted by one of the local conspiracy theorists, explaining what's ACTUALLY going on and showing off some of the gameplay. Reminds me pleasantly of the Terminator 2 attraction at Universal! AND it features some of the original Sims 1 music! So I love it just for that. :D
-->Watching Linkara's latest Atop The Fourth Wall episode -- Kickers Inc, about superhero football players! Unfortunately, it turned out not to be as hilarious as good old NFL Superpro -- instead, it was largely a story about this one meathead quarterback who gets lucky enough to gain super-strength from his brother's mysterious fitness machine, goes on to play the best football of his life, and finds the whole thing empty because it's too easy. The brother gets killed by the gangsters he was dealing with, and the quarterback somehow convinces three of his teammates and his girlfriend to also get superpowers and form the titular company to help people. The other players seem to be mainly in it for tax writeoffs. Not exactly an auspicious beginning. Linkara's snark was well-appreciated.
-->Getting my Valice Multiverse queue sorted -- always good to have that settled. And the VictorLuvsAlice queue is good to go too, yay~
And time now to empty out the inbox and head to bed. We'll see what Wednesday brings. Hopefully more chances for me to catch up on stuff. . . For now, g'night!
