Aaand Right Back To The Stress
Mar. 5th, 2019 11:15 pmMostly with the phone -- EVERYONE wanted to talk to us today. Most of my day was spent either catching up with the GL, answering phone calls, or attempting to return phone calls. It's frustrating because now everything else is again piling up. . .and, of course, I'm on my period, so that doesn't do great things for my mood. *sighs* I would like the nice feelings from the weekend to last a LITTLE bit longer. . .
Well, at least the evening's been pretty nice. We had breakfast for supper tonight, which for me meant chocolate chip pancakes (om nom). None of my subscriptions had anything new (which surprised me; thought at least Helloween would have something up), so I amused myself with:
-->Another old "Fact Hunt" video about movies you might not realize had video games (he kind of cheated by putting BTTF on the list, but he DID talk about a different game than the LJN disaster -- one by "Electric Dreams" about getting George and Lorraine to interact enough to fall in love and have kids)
-->The latest Atop The Fourth Wall episode (the first issue of Image's "Savage Dragon," which was. . .good? Or, at least, a lot more enjoyable than YOUNGBLOOD. Still suffering a nasty case of ninetiesitis, but the characters are a LOT nicer and more relatable, and the action done better than in other books we've seen. Also features the character crushing the balls of a racist cop, which -- Linkara said it was kind of out of place, but I found it quite satisfying)
-->CallMeKevin playing a bit of Pokemon Let's Go! Pikachu (his character is Dear Leader, his rival is Fecker, and his Pikachu is Cultist. XD He also caught two Oddishes -- including an extra-large one -- and proceeded to use them to wreck Brock and his Rock-type gym. It was highly amusing)
I also worked some more on Chapter 16 of "Fixing You" -- Thirteen's not reacting as expected to a chance to "take" Alice like he keeps saying he wants to. I also found an opportunity to try and explain Alice's sexuality, which is best summed up as "a bit complicated." XD (She's demipanromantic grey-asexual -- she has no gender preferences, but she has to get to know the person first, and she can and does live without sex, but she's not full-on repulsed, and certain situations are capable of getting her motor running, so to speak.) It IS sort of plot-important, as Alice is explaining this in the middle of trying to convince Victor that having lustful thoughts about her doesn't mean he's a monster. Keep at it, girl, he'll get it eventually.
And I've finished up my queues for both my tumblrs -- Sims all set for tomorrow, yay. So now it's just time to empty out the inbox as best I can before hitting the sheets. We'll see if Wednesday gives me any more room to breathe. . . Night all!
