crossover_chick: picture of Alice (Wonderland) in front of the swirling purple Wonderland tunnel (AMA: Alice down the rabbit hole)
Once again, a slow ride in and a slow ride out -- though at least this time I didn't have to deal with said traffic directly, as Mom needed the car to go meet a friend this afternoon, meaning she drove me in and Dad picked me up in his truck. Very glad that I only had to observe the various nuts from the passenger side. I also discovered this morning that red light at the intersection where I turn to go to work? Changing a LOT faster than normal -- it went through a full cycle TWICE while Mom and I were coming up to it. That doesn't usually happen. Makes me feel a lot better about the incident yesterday -- I THOUGHT I should have had more time than that! Resolving not to worry about it and just to be a LOT more careful at that light from now on.

Work was the usual stressful mess -- GL issues, website issues, payment issues, all the issues. I'm just plugging away the best I can. Had nice soup once I got home, with potato rolls -- and there was some leftover, so I'm taking that for lunch tomorrow. :) Something to look forward to, I suppose, as I deal with the usual bullshit.

After supper, I did some work on Chapter 16 of "Fixing You" -- a bit of slow going as I tried to get some of Alice's dialogue with Thirteen JUST RIGHT. But I got through it, and, uh, left it at poor Victor having a good hard cry as he finally admits out loud just what triggered all this (a fantasy about Alice that accidentally triggered a memory of Bumby). Poor guy, he needs all the hugs. :( Fortunately Alice is there to provide them. Just have to remember, we're almost back to the happy bits. . .

After that was a couple of Sims videos:

-->One from The Sim Supply, where he asked SimGuru Lyndsay Pearson (the General Manager) about Sims stuff. Takeaways: she and her dev team probably should communicate a bit more, as she was surprised to discover some stuff they made recently wasn't in the Build/Buy Catalogue, because it was worked on by specific devs and for some reason it never came up to make them usable items; apparently the reason we lost some of the stuff from Sims 3 like the Create-a-Style color wheel, full story progression, and fully open worlds was because they wanted the game to actually RUN for people -- according to her and James, Sims 3 is darn near impossible to play now, especially if you have all the DLC; she herself uses mods when she plays the game; James has hopefully guilted her into telling the team to include lots more color swatches on future content

-->One from Call Me Kevin where Jim Pickens and company take over the bunker under the old plane in StrangerVille, and Jim starts both investigating the mystery and randomly infecting people with bizarre fruit. XD And trapping people in his basement, as you do. And falling asleep in bars, as you do. XD Fun stuff -- this pack seems made for the Pickens brand of evil wackiness.

And then it's been largely catching up on my websites and getting my tumblr queues sorted. Nothing too different from the usual. Speaking of which, time to clear out what's left in the inbox and hit the sheets. One more day of work to go, then I have a much less snowy weekend ahead. And as last weekend was indeed Taxes Weekend, I've already decided this weekend is Movie Weekend. :) The Lego Movie 2, here I come! Got a convenient 12:20 showing too. . .

But that's for Saturday. Still gotta get through Friday first. Night all!
