We only got an hour at Lang's instead of 2 this time -- turns out a fundraising group had booked the place at 1, so they were stopping all the regular bowling at 12:30 to give themselves time to prepare. So we had to halve our usual session, and skip getting lunch there (Mom made spinach pies at home instead, which I'm not going to complain about. XD) We still got in two games, though -- I didn't bowl GREAT, but I got a strike and a few spares. Mom and I are discussing ways to fix our techniques for the next time we go -- we think holding our legs a different way might keep us straighter. (Also possibly be easier on our hips -- both mine and hers were hurting a little afterwards.)

After we got home and had lunch, I ended up watching a bunch of Call Me Kevin videos -- featuring some truly horrible PS2 games for Charlie And The Chocolate Factory (the Tim Burton movie) and Bee Movie; a pretty hilarious video with RTGamer where they started playing Don't Starve Together and Kevin's antics kept ruining all of RT's plans; and a visit to GoGirlGames.com which consisted mostly of terrible Minecraft "clones" (I use the term loosely, as all you could do in any of them was remove blocks from the landscape and eventually fall through the earth), some very weird dress-up games, and a surgeon simulator that was a bit more gruesome than I expected. Yeesh. . . Also, watched an "Honest Trailer" for every Tim Burton movie, which was pretty much on the mark when it comes to shit you see in all of his films (except for his frequent collabs with Danny Elfman, which the comments were quick to pipe up about). Thoroughly good stuff. XD

And after that -- well. I booted up Steam, selected Fallout 4, and booted up the launcher, just to see where I was at with it. Another day of the horribly flashing screen, though it WAS clearly playing the game -- I even got a menu to come up, though I could BARELY interact with it. I ended the task through Task Manager, then got my iPad and pulled up the fix for the flashing I'd found. Followed the steps and tried launching again --

And it worked! I could actually play the damn game! So that's what I did. Mainly, I poked around in the character creator until I got a guy at least semi-resembling Victor Van Dort. My favorite Noodle Boy does NOT translate well to a more realistic style, that's for damn sure. Got the face shape roughly right, at least. . . Did a little tweaking to make the wife semi-resemble Victoria too, though I didn't spend as much time on her as -- well. Your character is the Sole Survivor of Vault 111. :( As for stats, I gave Victor 7 in Endurance and Intelligence (as he does a lot of running around in Corpse Bride without getting too winded, and his scientific drawings of butterflies indicate a fairly learned mind), a 2 in Charisma (as he is a socially awkward noodle and the plot of CB hinges on him being such), and 3s and 4s in everything else. So he's good at running long distances and puzzling out things, but he's going to be awful at talking to people. Fortunate for him he hasn't run into other people in the wasteland yet -- hell, I didn't even make it to the wasteland itself. Victor's still in the vault, killing radroaches with a security baton and stealing all the coffee cups. What, it's an RPG -- that's what you DO. I do look forward to actually seeing the outside world again, though. And meeting Dogmeat. :) Victor's gonna have a puppy and it's going to be adorable. :)

After that was shower, supper, and writing -- getting back into the groove on Chapter 18 of "Forgetting You." Trying to cut out stuff I feel is ultimately unnecessary -- lots of little bits of conversation here and there that's basically just "filler" as I get from one plot point to the next. Hopefully the chapter shall be all the stronger for it. . . And then I watched The Sim Supply's latest Sims 2 video (Nina has successfully woohooed with three men, and received a HOT TUB as a gift from one of them, so she's happy; Eggton has gotten another promotion, so HE'S happy; and James has attempted to add a garage onto the house which has resulted in massive amounts of rebuilding, so he's -- frustrated. XD I expect a total remodel next episode, as he seems to be leaning that way); and Helloween's latest Secret of Mana 2 set (our team got briefly stuck aboard a ghost ship, which -- after a boss battle in which Angela's Holy spells wrecked everybody -- led to them gaining the power of Shade for their journey; they then washed up on a volcanic island that's about to blow, and poor Helloween got savaged by cockatrices. At least it's a good place to grind for levels!).

And now I've got wrap things up -- Valice Multiverse queue is done, so I just have to answer the stuff in my inbox. And then back to work tomorrow. . .a little sad this weekend basically went completely off the rails in terms of stuff I planned on doing, but nothing that can be done about it now. At least I only have two weeks to get through before I get a REAL break. . . Night all!
