crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (Default)
Started out pretty rainy and miserable; work day was marked by a weird GL that took most of the morning, me having to wait ages to show my supervisor some stuff that needed his attention, and the usual juggling of "okay I have this thing this thing and THAT thing I have to handle. . ." leading to me getting out a little later than I wanted. Fortunately the traffic back home was pretty good for a change, so. . . But yeah, it was one of those days where I constantly felt like I was rushing to catch up with something. Meh.

I did accomplish a few things:

-->Did some more with Chapter 18 of "Fixing You" -- the dead children of Houndsditch have arrived, and Victor and Alice have said some sad hellos. Children have assured them that they're happy down there, and Alice has assured them in turn Bumby's horrible co-conspirators are being rounded up. So it's not all bad. On track to finish this by Wednesday evening! :)

-->Got all my pictures for my latest "Newcrest Adventures" update sorted (three posts worth), and gotten the first of the posts set up in my queue, hooray! Maybe I can sneak in uploading the pictures for the other two before I head to bed tonight.

-->Watched the latest "Super Sim Challenge" episode (James got some advice on how to change uniforms in restaurants without completely screwing up his save file, and managed to actually make it through a day without resetting time -- day mostly spent running his diner and teaching his kids some life skills; also bathing everyone in the house because everyone but Max stank XD) and the latest Metro Exodus set (Helloween drove around the desert, investigating question marks, collecting loot, getting annoyed at "backstory logs," making friends with a hermit, worrying about Anna and her cough, and getting killed by bandits while trying to snipe them from a high tower and nearly falling OFF said tower while sprinting down the stairs XD).

-->Cleared out my latest slew of AO3 reviews, and the stuff I couldn't get to last night because time is my eternal enemy.

So it's been a good evening, at least. :) And I should note that Mom started her new job today -- local nursing home she got hired at after renewing her CNA license. So that's nice too. Does mean Dad and I are kind of on our own for supper this week, but that's no big.

Anyway! Time to finish emptying out the inbox and head to bed. Still gotta get through the rest of this week. . .we'll see how things go. Night all!
