Made It Through!
Apr. 17th, 2019 10:48 pmNot that bad a day at work, though there were some irritating moments (such as asking for help with a donor's online issue, only to get a completely useless reply because apparently they wanted me to change something completely MANUALLY) -- again, a good chunk of it was shifting old paperwork around and taking it down to the shredder in the basement. We've got a lot of free space around the office now -- it's nice! And I got lunch from Subway, using my gift card -- Oven-Roasted Chicken on Italian Herbs & Cheese, baked Lays chips, a Dr. Pepper, and a chocolate-chip cookie. All for about 6.50, so I can't complain. AND the weather was great, so I took a decent walk before getting my lunch, and got in another one once I got home from work. :) Yeah, can't really complain at all!
Writing this evening was a rough draft of a Londerland Bloodlines scene -- Alice going to Mercurio to talk out her confused feelings about blood-bonding Victor (she loves him, but she hates the idea of him losing his free will to the bond, but she ALSO hates the idea of him dying, even of old age). This AU is likely to be on my mind a lot in the near future, I think -- maybe it's time to move all these snippets into their own document, instead of having them live in the general "random stuff I write from time to time" one. ("As Long As You Love Me" should probably get its own thing too.) Organization -- just one of the things I can attempt to cover this weekend. :p
Only watched one bit of YouTubery after that, but it was a doozy -- The Sim Supply's latest episode of his Sims 2 LP. Nina's had her third child -- and her fourth. Yup, James got hit with TWINS. Given he'd just spent the majority of the family money on a sports car, this was -- concerning. XD He managed to cram all the youngsters into one room with their cribs, but everyone's needs were a shitshow for a while as they struggled to take care of them and themselves. Both Nina and Doona (the toddler daughter) fell asleep standing/sitting up, respectively, from sheer exhaustion, and Nina actually peed herself. Not to mention the house ended up a total disaster. . .James finally got the family a nanny and a maid to help out, but then Eggton got screwed over on a chance card and LOST ALL THE FAMILY'S MONEY. Fortunately he got home with his paycheck in time to pay the employees, and Nina had already gotten the bills, but damn. James said earlier in the episode it's more fun for him if his Sims are struggling -- guess Sims 2 decided to put that to the test! On the plus side, though, Brentnall got abducted by aliens. ...Yes, this is a plus -- it gets him a special scholarship, and we all got to watch the funny cutscene. XD Sometimes I want to make a list of "stuff from Sims 2 I want in Sims 4/my ideal Sims game." Those cutscenes aren't the only things I miss. . .
Anyway! I have stuff to answer in the inbox, and a tumblr queue I want to shore up (if I finish it tonight, I'll be done straight through Saturday!). Tomorrow -- no special plans unless I decide it's the day I want to get my hair cut. I'm sick of how long it is, and I want it off. We'll see how the day goes, though. . .night all!
