crossover_chick: Doc snoozing on his couch (BTTF: exhausted)
Yeah, we didn't end up going out today. Not because of the heat, though (well, mostly not because of the heat -- it played a small factor, as it DID get pretty hot today) -- more because Mom didn't get home from meeting her friend until about one, and then we had lunch, and then she started making cookies. . .and then, when we started discussing places we could go, we realized pretty much every place we could got would either be super-crowded, or about an hour away. So we decided, if THAT'S the case, we might as well add a half-hour to the trip and head up to a place we visited and enjoyed last year -- Kimball Farms! So we're doing that tomorrow, after Mom and Dad get back from their weekly trip to the flea market. :) That'll be fun -- I remember they have a good mini-golf course, and fun bumper boats. :D And great ice cream, though we'll need to get the smallest size -- they give out BIG portions. Good portions, but BIG. Meep.

With that decided, I ended up having a Saturday spent hanging around the house. Got a fair few things done though:

-->Cleared out the stuff in my inbox that I was too tired to get to last night, and edited a draft on my Victor Luvs Alice tumblr that I've been meaning to get to for a while (sort of getting myself another AU in the process. . . *facepalm* Brain, why are you like this).

-->Watched a couple more riddle videos from Jay and Kassie (one of which was a set that's apparently labeled for kids -- and features just as much murder and maniacs as the "adult" riddles XD), the final part of Linkara's Cassandra Cainstrospective (detailing that time where a writer who had no idea what the characters was like was handed control of her for a while and completely botched her characterization to hell and back. . .but then helped make up for it after he learned more about the character by helping other people retcon his own mistakes and bowing out gracefully, so the story has a happy-ish ending. And then Rebirth happened, and Cass was a different superhero in the Bat-Fam for a while, but currently she's hung up her cape in favor of learning how to be just an ordinary person. Frankly, she deserves it), and an hour-long look at The Sinking City from OXBox (a fun little romp through the streets of the titular Sinking City, which is full of ape-men, Innsmouthers, and open cultists -- also hermit crabs wearing rat corpses, or at least that's what it looks like. And our main character is a detective with supernatural detecting powers gained from being the only survivor on a doomed ship who washed up on an eldritch island. Good stuff, particularly with Andy constantly trying to pull his gun on people and picking the dickish dialogue options, though I found the volume to be weirdly soft. Had to strain to hear everybody at some points. . .maybe it was just me, but still).

-->Played some Bloodlines -- Alice has successfully found Mercurio, killed the thugs who assaulted him before retrieving the Astrolite and his money (a bit awkwardly -- she managed to Obfuscate her way around the guard at the front of the house, but once I got inside, I kept getting spotted and shot at. Had to reload a couple of times), got to know the Thin-Bloods on the beach (I figured she'd want to thank Rosa for the tip as to where Dennis and his goons were), and broke into the clinic to get some morphine for Mercurio as well (also meeting Knox and Vandal along the way). Pretty solid night's work -- and yes, I've decided that was a night. Part of my reason for doing this LP is to figure out a timeline for Londerland Bloodlines, after all, and completing all that felt like it would eat up most of her waking hours. My goal is to try and do a "night" a play-session -- don't know how well that's going to work, but currently off to a good start. Also updated my Londerland Bloodlines document with the relevant notes, including how I spent her XP (she's now a bit better at Melee and Security, and picked up a book that gave her a dot in Computers!). My plan for next week is to do the "Bloody Mess" quest and get "Trick Or Treatment" done at the same time, since that's how I've already established Alice met Victor in the fanfic snippets I've written, then figure out how I want to do the Kilpatrick sidequests in relation to the main ones.

-->Wrote the first draft of a gift fic for a tumblr friend's upcoming birthday -- they gave me some pretty specific notes, so it was pretty easy to build the story around them. Now I just have to make it GOOD. . . Well, I've got another week to refine it. I think I'll manage. :p

-->Avoided the "how am I going to post my Secundus drabbles?" question by recalling that I have another whole category of longer fics I can mine for "Scenes From Secundus!" XD Yeah, I'd forgotten temporarily that I had more stories that resulted from Charloft prompts to post, so I'm putting those up now. First one up is all the way from 2010 (or, it was before I edited it): They Can Also Do The Mario Theme. Ah, memories. . . Tesla Coil music is still one of the coolest things on the planet. XD

And currently I'm doing a bit of the RP thing over on Valice Multiverse while I work to wrap the rest of my stuff up. Mainly gotta sort out both my tumblr queues. . . And then probably hit the sheets as I am le tired. Need my sleep for a busy day tomorrow! Night all!
