Well Today Was Interesting
Jul. 16th, 2019 10:53 pm-->Less going wrong at work today, though we did have a few problems to correct with some gifts that showed up late in the Appeal. . .plus more website fun, so yaaaaay. *sigh* Just doing my best to get through each day as it comes. . .
-->Also, heat definitely on the rise -- not too bad around noon again, but certainly stickier than it was yesterday. And waaaay hotter this afternoon -- stayed in and did some indoor walking for my workout.
-->Sort of got my period today. Basically, went to the bathroom this morning, saw blood, grabbed my pad and wore it all day. . .only for the blood flow to lighten until it was basically not there anymore after my shower? It's like my uterus went, "eh, changed my mind," which is not on because I've been ready to commit murder for the past five days now thanks to PMS. And I just KNOW that it's going to come back with a vengeance when I go to sleep. . .
-->Finished up another chapter on "Secundus 2" -- the gang discussing whether or not Doc (and all the rest of them) might be barred from the festival to dedicate the new clock, and deciding that they'll try attending, and if they're turned away, they'll have their own hang-out in Doc's shop nearby, with Marty volunteering to get Clara if possible. Next chapter is the festival itself, which is going to be perhaps a little more chaotic than the original from Part III. . .mostly because you've got two Tannens causing shenanigans, not just one. Should be fun! For a certain value of such. :p
-->Watched a couple of Yandere Simulator videos (Kubz Scouts reacting to YanDev's latest update involving Osana's new best friend -- the old indestructible Rival-chan -- and said video about Rival-chan's new role as Osana's "bodyguard" of sorts) and a bunch of Sims ones (a Sims Comments Logic video about goofy Sims glitches and stories (including what happens if you turn a toddler into an elder while they're in a high chair -- there is much squashery involved); Deli and James playing SimSafari, one of the old Maxis classics, and completing a mission to restore a park ravaged by fire by adding a lot of outhouses and then playing a quiz about animals while the park basically restored itself XD; and Deli and James both reacting to the 'Sims 4 rebranding' patch (Deli was more positive about it than James, but neither like the new box art, and James in particular isn't a fan of the new menu screen -- both like CAS Stories though, while I'm more ambivalent about it. It's a cool tool, I suppose, but I really wish the bonuses it gives you could just be assigned to Sims without going through a personality quiz that picks and locks in an aspiration and traits for you.)
-->Mom's new car, which was supposed to be ready yesterday, has been delayed until noon tomorrow -- there was a leak in the AC they had to fix, and they didn't actually call to tell her this until like 5:30/6:00 this evening. In addition, Dad's truck is in the shop, and we're not getting THAT back until tomorrow either -- or at least that's the current story, depending on what's wrong with it.
Which made it rather worrying when the battery in the one vehicle we DO have suddenly DIED when Dad went to pick up Mom tonight. Seems like the lights didn't go off properly when he came back from visiting her at supper, so. . . Cue me calling her to tell her what's up while he hiked off to get her, and then desperately trying to figure out what bus route I could use to get to work tomorrow should worse come to worst. The car DOES seem to be running now, and Mom says we have a charger so it would be all right anyway, but. . . [deep sigh] Stress I REALLY didn't need tonight. Especially since now Dad's in a bad mood over that, and Mom's still dealing with shit at her job, and. . .
Aaand I have to get to bed. Really good thing that I didn't have to deal with my VictorLuvsAlice queue today. Finishing up one thing on the Valice Multiverse one and then hitting the sheets. We'll see how tomorrow goes -- supposed to be a hot one, for starters. . . Night all.
