It's actually somewhat DECENT tonight without the AC -- not too hot, not too sticky. I am amaze. O.o And supposedly we're due some truly nice weather going forward, straight through the weekend. Hey, I'll take whatever I can get. I've missed having days where I could have my windows open, even for a little while. "A little while" being defined as "not this morning," because holy hell it was POURING earlier. We must have gotten a good inch or so of rain before noon. Still, if that's what we need to have seasonable temperatures and less humidity, I'll deal.
Anyway, a reasonably decent day at work -- I got a few things cleared out of my desk, though I also picked up a LOT of things for a batch I need to do tomorrow. Always something, isn't it. . .was a bit late getting home, though, as my parents had the car, and they encountered absolutely MISERABLE traffic coming to pick me up. Emergency roadwork and an accident. . .actually, the trip home was fraught with various amounts of bad driving and people on the side of the road. Dunno WHAT happened today, but I hope it isn't a thing tomorrow.
Made it home, had a workout (admittedly a short one), had supper, then did my writing -- the clock has been dedicated in "Secundus 2!" It's not all that different from the canon version of the scene, admittedly, but it's nice to have. Jennifer's joined the group again, and they're discussing various activities -- dancing, arm-wrestling, and the shooting gallery. We're going to see at least two of these three things on-screen in the near future! I'm looking forward to the shooting gallery segment too -- it's fun to play around with canon a bit here. :p
After that was some Sim Supply -- two back-to-back episodes of "Rags To Riches Island Edition!" Our girl Banana has started her retail lot, and business is -- well, I wouldn't say booming, but she's managed to sell all her current inventory (including her old tent and kava bowls) over the course of the two episodes. And bought a real bed and real toilet! James also finally went into CAS and changed her tail to be yellow, so she looks appropriately banana-ish while swimming. And ran into a glitch where her mermaid scales were on her HUMAN form because they were set as her swimwear and her two forms were linked. *sigh* Sims 4, why are you like this sometimes. . . She also completed the Island Living aspiration because it turns out it's super simple and the last goal is falling asleep on a lounge chair/floaty (though you can't direct your Sim to nap -- they have to fall asleep on their own). Feels kind of -- anticlimatic. Though at least it got her a bonus trait where she never gets Tense anymore, so James doesn't have to worry about buying the reward trait in the store. It's the small things. And she's working on getting a fresh plantain farm set up at the shop, so she can eventually have amazing-quality ones and sell them from freezers for a ton of cash. :p Slowly but surely she's getting the hang of this "rags to riches" thing!
I also watched part of a Busch Gardens Williamsburg video my parents were watching, which showed off some of the rides and places to eat and all that. The bit I caught was "Curse of Dark Kastle," which is one of those 4-D rides where you go around on a buggy and have stuff in 3-D leap out at you from screens -- kind of like the Spider-Man ride at Universal. Which is pretty damn awesome (at least when it's working properly), so I'm rather looking forward to this one. Certainly makes me a little more excited for our upcoming trip!
Right now, though, I should really be excited for bed. I've got my tumblr queues all sorted (BUSY day on Valice Multiverse!), so I just have to answer the last thing in my inbox and then hit the sheets. Hopefully tomorrow will be good. . .would be really nice if I could get out for some walks again. Fingers crossed, everyone -- night all!
