crossover_chick: a vampire version of Alice Liddell and a human Victor Van Dort kissing (SIMS: Vamp!Alice and Victor Smooches)
Though I did watch a few other videos too, as well as get some writing done -- finished up another chapter of "Secundus 2!" Almost to the end now! And I'm doing a major push this week -- as this is basically BTTF III week, I'm making a conscious decision to write on "Secundus 2" this entire week. No breaks for Forgotten Vows or Londerland Bloodlines or any of that! Granted, we're supposed to be going out Saturday to Canobie, so that'll be a bit harder, but I figure I can manage a paragraph or two once we get home. It's BTTF Season, and I want to get this second draft done! This one's been a bit of an uphill struggle at times, I have to admit -- things not gelling quite how I want them -- but I'm trying to remind myself that:

a) I still have one more editing cycle, and things tend to come together best once I start going over each chapter with a fine-tooth comb

b) the original "Secundus" was a NaNoWriMo project that never received a lot of editing, and people still seem to like it

Still, I think this one will benefit from sitting for a little bit after I complete this draft. Still on-track to have at least the opening chapter teased this Christmas season, but it might be a little longer before I start posting the story properly.

Anyway! Most of my day was spent YouTubing -- here's the quick rundown:

-->On the non-Sims side, we had Call Me Kevin doing a video about an AMA he did on his subreddit (apparently he got a TON of questions; fun little ride with him talking about what his average day is like, how he's recovering from his car accident (shoulder still giving him trouble), and how he likes that, thanks to where he lives, he has like the perfect mix of fame and privacy); and the OXBox team taking on an elusive target they hadn't tackled before, the Identity Thief (who is very bad at his job given the absolutely baffling outfit he was wearing -- Andy was VERY DISAPPROVING. Particularly of his orange pants. XD Anyway, we finally had Mike back for this one, and naturally he promptly started by having the level devolve into chaos by sneaking behind the bar and punching a waiter so hard his cutting board full of limes exploded XD He also pulled off one of his impossible hits -- wanging a letter opener into the target IN A FULL CROWD -- but unfortunately was unable to pull off the escape. Andy did better with a balcony snipe (with Mike's advice, no less!), so at least the target was completed for one of them!). There was also a Plumbella video -- she's a Sims YouTuber, but the particular video I watched was her gushing over getting one of those "over 100,000 subscriber" plaques YouTube sends out. It was nice to see her being so happy about it, and saying how much she appreciated having YouTube and getting to do her Sims stuff for a living. :)

-->On the Sims side, it was pretty much all James Turner, all the time. First one was a build by Deli that he renovated, mainly by making the photo studio a LOT bigger and adding some of the new animated backdrops from Moschino Stuff -- paired with an effects machine from Get Famous. Actually turned out pretty cool -- made for some dynamic shots with his tester Sims! :) And then the rest were all the latest developments in his "Rags To Riches Island Edition" LP -- he has built an official "banana stand" (which is apparently a reference to Arrested Development), and has mastered getting money out of bananas -- namely, put them in baked goods, then separate the baked goods into individual servings, so as to milk as much money out of them as possible! A single plate of Excellent-quality banana bread can sell for over $200! So yeah, Banana is finally making some decent cashola, and hopefully James will be able to renovate her trainwreck of a house soon. XD He is also actually paying attention to Column, mostly because she's going to be the start of the Realm of Magic Rags to Riches, and he wants her to actually have something resembling a decent start in life. Working on getting all her skills maxed before she grows up for a start! And Mr. Chow Chow had a puppy with Scooby Doo (the Seasons Bigwallets' dog) named Ticket, that Column will keep with her when she moves out. We're all very curious to see what this currently-adorable puppy will look like once he ages up. I mean, it's a Chow Chow mixed with a Great Dane -- this could be interesting. XD

I also popped into my own Sims 4 game -- spent the day with Emmett and Nikal! Einstein had to go to the vet for Severe Hotfoot, poor pup. Emmett had a pretty standard day at work -- testing, analyzing, mind-controlling coworkers. XD And I learned what Snake Oil does to cure people -- MAKES THEM PASS OUT. I had Emmett drink it to cure a headache that was plaguing him, and he spent the last hour of his shift unconscious in the lobby. XD Nikal managed to get an off-screen promotion to UFOlogist, though! Which unlocked a new door and window for me to use in build mode, so I gave their lab a slight bit of renovation. Mostly just making it bigger and adding a few more shelves. . . I'm actually quite happy to be on them, since they'll be my active family when I get Realm of Magic and thus I can actually just dive right into that pack! Totally gonna be spellcater-scientists. :D Best of both worlds!

And that's about it for the day, really, beyond me taking another walk in the afternoon. Keeping up my exercise! Tomorrow Mom's thinking we might do something in the morning, but it's kind of dependent on the weather -- we'll see! Me, my main goals are to listen to my Discworld podcast (the Pyramids episode is up) and watch the other Hitman 2 OXBox video (homing briefcase!), write more on "Secundus 2," and perhaps play some Fallout 4. Would be nice to get closer to finishing off "Taking Independence" and get myself back on track for the main plot. . .and a good way to wind up my vacation. *sigh* One last day. . .

Welp, still time to enjoy it. For now, it's time to finish up the Valice Multiverse queue, and finish sorting out my screenshots for this week's Newcrest Adventures update. It's a pretty important one, as it's the one where Eric proposes to Andy and asks him to move in! Thinking gonna be a four-parter. . .another thing to try and get done tomorrow -- at least a couple of posts on that! But for now, pictures. And comments. Night all!
