crossover_chick: Doc in goggles and holding a big old plug with the words "feeling sparky..." (BTTF: feeling sparky/creative)
AKA I had a super-quiet day at work, just catching up on obituaries and clearing out duplicates where I could. Did not expect that. O.o Though it was nice, to be sure. I like having the occasional day where there's no disasters looming on the horizon -- takes some of the pressure off. And Mom and Dad both had low-key days themselves, so -- yeah. Guess the world decided "eh, I'm not gonna do anything too horrible today. Enjoy it while you can!"

So yeah, not too much to report on today -- though I do have a few things:

-->Only got in the one walk today, mostly because today was the coldest day of the week. Struggled to get above 60, and I think that was BEFORE the wind started picking up. I got pretty blown around during my lunchtime amble. O.o Decided I'd rather stay in for the afternoon -- I can pick up again tomorrow and Friday, when it warms back up a bit more.

-->Wrote some more on "Secundus 2" -- Victor's reached Clara and Jennifer, and has sold them on his plan of using the Grasshopper Teapot's tea to transform themselves temporarily and make a quick but powerful jump to the other train. Mostly by telling them how miserable it is trying to cling to the rope ladder while Doc's train is in flight -- and he would know! Buford tried to cause trouble, but I got Clara to kick him in the junk before he could. :p Very close to wrapping up this chapter -- and then there's just two more to edit before the end! On track to finish up this thing sometime in October, and then I'll probably let it sit for a bit while I get to work on my next big project. . .

-->Watched James design a house for Column, Plahn Tayne, and Ticket for the upcoming Realm of Magic LP. Normally when he does stuff with the Bigwallets, it's pure "start with nothing" Rags to Riches, but there's not a lot of ways to make MONEY with magic -- especially with potions currently selling for 0 simoleons -- so he decided they could at least have a house. And then promptly spent almost all of their money building a house with a big tower and putting gargoyles and fancy windows on it, so all their furnishings are crap. XD So they will have to earn SOME money to get the place up to proper witchy code!

-->Also watched Linkara's latest Atop The Fourth Wall (two chapters of the Franken Fran manga, which -- it's dark horror comedy, but it's largely body horror, and some of the first chapter is really freaking disturbing, so while I can appreciate that the right audience would like it, I don't think I'm it); and two Call Me Kevin videos about Esport Life (a sort-of-crappy simulator about being a teenager who sort of falls into the world of esports as a result of trying to battle a bully to get his friend's laptop back. Features hilariously awkward dialogue, terrible mini-games, the ability to kiss multiple people, and the ability to piss off your mother by continually skipping school. Kevin was in his element, which is "I don't know what's going on but at least that makes for funny videos." XD)

-->Got my VictorLuvsAlice queue set for the next few days! Still need to decide what my second Saturday post will be, but I'm slightly ahead of the game, at least. :) And it led to me making a decision about my Londerland Bloodlines timeline too -- namely, I really want Alice to visit Grout's place on Halloween. It just feels too appropriate. I'll have to do some tweaking this weekend and see if I can get them to line up. I did already want to move the warehouse explosion to its own night. . .

Aaand that's about it, really. Not much else to say. Gonna take care of the comment I have waiting, then hit the sheets. Two more days to get through -- if they're both like this (but warmer), it shouldn't be too bad a week overall. Fingers crossed, folks! Night all!
