crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (Default)
Though I had another one of those mornings where I woke up a bit early because I had to pee, and couldn't quite get back to sleep afterwards (though I did at least lay in bed until about ten). Ugh, hate that. . . But the rest of the day was good!

-->I watched a WHOLE bunch of videos, including:

A) A riddle video from Gloom and Azzy -- usual 7-Second goofiness XD

B) Two el-cheapo "baby simulator game" apps from Jay (since he's going to be a father this year) -- both absolutely TERRIBLE, with awful graphics and poor excuses for gameplay (though watching Jay bitch was amusing enough)

C) The latest Atop The Fourth Wall, with Linkara reviewing a Teen Titans two-parter written by Gail Simone and drawn by Rob Liefeld. It -- wasn't great. There was the germ of a good story in there (Tim missing his father on Father's Day, and having to deal with some teenage metas making trouble because THEY have daddy issues), but it just didn't end up gelling with the actual plot (a Hawk & Dove villain trying to become a "Lord of Chaos" by selling Raven's soul to the current ones), and of course Rob's art was, as usual, not good. Next week's episode starts the Halloween stuff on AT4W, though, so that'll be fun! :D

D) Two list videos from OXBox and OXTra -- seven things that happen at the start of every RPG (I felt especially called out by #5, doing a bunch of sidequests instead of the main plot. . . I'M TRYING, FALLOUT 4, I REALLY AM), and seven games that were basically another game reskinned (looking at you, Super 3D Noah's Ark! And you, Super Mario Bros 2! Though, uh, the reskin actually worked out quite well for the franchise as a whole, sooo. . .)

E) The latest Hitman 2 escalation from OXBox -- the Covert Dispersal Escalation, at the BBQ in Whittleton Creek. A pretty simple mission, where the only change between levels was the addition of a new target each time. The gang tackled it with their usual finesse -- that is to say, Andy did the best, Jane caused some chaos and had to exit the mission compromised after leaving the owner's convertible full of muffin crumbs, and Mike blew up someone with an exploding pen and threw a muffin at a guy right before leaving the level. XD Good times.

F) Outstar's latest video on the newest Bloodlines 2 faction -- the Newcomers! Which are, in essence, a chunk of Tremere who have recently been let into Seattle and seem now to be working as mercenaries while they continue their studies into the vampire Blood. The Baron naturally sees them as a threat. Some interesting stuff, especially with how the game doesn't seem to be following all of the current lore regarding Tremere (namely, that their pyramid is smashed all to hell). But then again, the game is supposed to be something of a mishmash between the classic V20 and the current V5. . . We'll see when the game itself comes out!

G) And Helloween's final set of Dead Space 2, showing why it's good to have a lot of cashola at the end of the game -- you can buy loads of ammo and just go to TOWN on all those necromorphs. :D And Ellie proved her awesomeness in a final rescue of Isaac after he destroyed the Marker and stopped the world from ending. It was great and a very fitting end to the game, the LP, and Helloween Replaying former favorites in general. Last LP from him until he wraps up his career with Bloodlines 2 next year (he promised to do it, and I'm holding him to it). At least it's a high note to go out on until 2020. Been thinking I might try to fit in rewatches of his two Bloodlines LPs if I can -- that'll be both fun AND useful to my own "Londerland Bloodlines."

-->Speaking of which, played some of Bloodlines myself today, with a focus on getting the Pisha stuff done. Reported to LaCroix about Grout, then went to the abandoned hospital and got the initial "Necromantic" quest from her to deal with Simon Milligan. Did so by Dementing him into chasing the moon, then reported back to get my experience points. She gave me the next quest -- and I gave her an axe to the face.

She gave me a bunch of claws and zombies. I probably got killed five times before

1) I figured out where to stand where she couldn't immediately get me and I could get a few free shots

2) She made life easier for me by accidentally running into her own mystical fire (used to seal off her boss arena) and burning to death (she actually did this TWICE, but the first time the game glitched out and she got stuck, and I was like -- yeah, can't leave her like that)

Yeah, I'm missing out on some good items, but -- well, after confirming with some research that Pisha really didn't need to attack the film crew like she did, I knew Alice would never want to deal with her. She only took care of Simon because, well, genuine threat to the Masquerade there. So yeah, no more Pisha. Added the new notes to my timeline, and also made some adjustments -- based on a comment Chunk makes about you smelling burned, I figured Alice reporting to LaCroix had to happen the same night she found Grout dead, instead of the next one. She instead delivers the sarcophagus to him the next night, after dealing with Pisha. I think that works out the best, timeline-wise. It's a tricky business, this thing! But it's coming along, slowly but surely.

-->And on the fic side, I got up another Scene From Secundus: And Round And Round And Round We Go. . ., where we see the aftermath of the Mayor Elder needing his Skool rotavator fixed and Victor needing the room to stop spinning. XD Not too much changed from the original for a change, though I did transfer it from dialogue-only to a more traditional story. Just felt it read better if you could actually see what the characters were doing.

-->Not to mention, we now have QI back on YouTube (season Q, no less!), and I got to have both a couple of snickerdoodles and popcorn for a snack today, om nom. :D So all that was nice.

Hmmm -- this makes it sound like a rather busy Saturday, all things considered. But then again, I WAS mostly just watching YouTube videos, sooooo XD But yeah, like I said, a nice day overall. Hopefully tomorrow will be more of the same. . . We're getting back into Sims 4 proper, so I have to remember to pick up the mods I need. Also watch the Sim-related videos I have in Watch Later. Shouldn't be too difficult!

Right now, though, I have tumblr tags and such to catch up on, plus -- well, I will make an ATTEMPT at answering messages. Pretty tired, though. . .need to go to bed a little closer to one in the morning, I think. We'll see how well I do with that. :p Night all!
