A Quiet Friday
Oct. 4th, 2019 11:22 pmWhich I'm glad of, as I had some worries when I had to track down what looked like some sort of pledge glitch. . .but it was all good in the end, and I didn't have much else going on with that, so I was able to spend most of my day wrapping up the GL and doing some maintenance. Just stuff to sort of ease you into the weekend. Save the really stressful stuff for Monday, when what might be innumerable meetings start. Gonna be an interesting October at work. . .
But I don't have to worry about that right now, as it is the weekend and I get to just be at home. Supposed to be a bit chilly Saturday, and milder Sunday -- we'll see. Definitely transitioned into hoodie-and-long-pants weather, that's for sure. . .but it was warm enough today for me to get in a walk at lunch, so that was nice. And I did an exercise video once I got home too, so yay me. Trying to keep up with the fitness thing!
Other accomplishments of the afternoon:
-->Did some outlining on my eventual Victor Otherland story -- thanks to the post I came up with last night for Forgotten Vows Friday on my tumblr, I now have rough plots for each of the planned chapters, yay. Also spent some time updating my notes regarding Victor's attire in his Wonderland from my tumblr. Really gotta wrangle all the changes I've made into one coherent document at some point! The one I currently have still has the old "BurtonDead" domain, instead of the new "Living Dead Forest" one. . .
-->Watched a couple of Call Me Kevin videos -- a stressful attempt to take on an underwater temple in Minecraft (mostly because he kept having to hastily make himself pockets of air from TNT blocks so he could breathe, he kept getting cursed by evil pufferfish to be really bad at mining blocks, and basically he did no research on the best way to take on the temple so everything was hilariously incompetent); and some fancy driving in Grid (Kevin literally rewinding time and space in order to win races XD (No, seriously, game mechanic, looks fun!) And making so many nemeses on the tracks by smashing into other cars XD).
-->Also watched a couple of GrayStillPlays videos -- being a self-confident asshole who's also an excellent cook in Small Sister (a "Big Brother" pastiche that is kind of sexist -- cooking is a woman-only skill, humor a man-only -- and has absolutely baffling dialogue -- one of the NPC contestants bragged about being able to smash a tomato with his dick. O.o Suddenly Gray being a dick to them seems justified); and making a house designed to embarrass people to death in Sims 4 (because that's a legitimate death type and Gray's gotta try 'em all! XD It was great, with stinky, mortified Sims surrounded by stinky, fossilized food. Australia Man, a newcomer, managed to take the title this time -- let's see how long he keeps it!).
-->Got my tumblr queues done -- have a song for Song Saturday on VLA, got all the inbox questions answered on Valice Multiverse. So that's sorted, yay. :) Better yet, I have a few ideas for some future posts on VLA, specifically AU Thursday and Forgotten Vows Friday, so hooray there too! Trying my best to keep ahead of everything.
So yeah, that's that for the moment. Now to see about the Friday Night Writing Thing, or if we're just chatting on tumblr (wisdom teeth stuff may mean they're not up for it). Either is good with me, honestly -- bit tired today, so I might force myself to actually try and get to bed a bit earlier than I have been lately. Tomorrow -- catching up with OXBox and Linkara, and getting to Pisha in Bloodlines. *nods* Seems like reasonable goals. Night all!
