crossover_chick: Doc in goggles and holding a big old plug with the words "feeling sparky..." (BTTF: feeling sparky/creative)
Mostly a roster maintenance kind of day at work, which was fine by me. A nice quiet end to the week helps balance out the more stressful beginning. And now I have three days off, yay~ No big plans beyond playing my video games, trying my damndest to catch up on some fanfic I'm meant to be reading, cleaning my room, and probably hitting the mall on Monday, but -- well, do I need any more than that? :p

Anyway, as I'm trying to get to the Friday Night Writing Thing (having already taken care of my inbox comments and Valice Multiverse queue), a few evening highlights:

-->Wrote some more on "Londerland Bloodlines." I am 24 pages in, and I am STILL not done with the tutorial. I am starting to wonder if I am going to finish this fic before the heat death of the universe. O.o I mean, I want to do it, I'm enjoying this, but -- DAMN. It doesn't help that my brain keeps wanting to skip ahead to the Valicey/Vemilicia-y parts. -.- You're the one who convinced me that we had to do a fic about the entire game, brain. . .

-->Did a double-shot of Gray Still Plays on YouTube:

A) You May Live, a game about running a very crappy hospital where you have to balance treating people with having enough money to keep the hospital running. Gray of course did his best to let in only rich people and dangerous people, though he made an exception for Ranger Walker (aka Chuck Norris). What a surprise, patients started getting murdered. XD Capitalism!

B) Reallives, a game where you play a totally-randomized life and try to make decisions to have the best life possible. Or, in Gray's case, the worst. Poor Kendal quit school at 6, became a beggar at 8, a thief at 11 (after leaving her parents' house and trying to illegally sneak into Florida), a sex worker at 18, took up smoking and illict drugs, had 3 sons from 3 different men (who were ALL drafted into the military), and ended up dying at 25 from malnutrition. Job accomplished, Gray!

-->Also did a double-shot of Call Me Kevin, though in his case it was two videos on the same game: Scribblenauts Unlimited! This is a game that lets you do just about anything with a magic notebook, and -- well, as you might imagine, Kevin took full advantage of that. Starting with giving Maxwell a gun and shooting all the things, and going on to:

1. Create a fountain in the town square by TURNING A CHILD TO STONE

2. Make an orphan in the firehouse happy by giving her a parent -- and then making that parent abusive so he'd beat her up

3. Play carnival games with a tank and a helicopter, respectively

4. Kill an old lady and then turn the bird she was trying to befriend into a man-eating monster. . .which then proceeded to EAT MOST OF THE NPCS

5. Constantly try to get people in a restaurant to eat a corpse. . .except the cannibal. With that guy he tried making his player character edible, with predictable results. XD

Basically, Kevin has a unique way of solving problems in this game and I love it. XD

And yeah, the rest of my evening was catching up on webcomics, comments, and my tumblr RP queue. Time to head out and do the writing thing! Tomorow -- room cleaning, OXBox videos, Fallout 4, cleaning up that friend's gift fic for their upcoming birthday. *nods* Night all!
