crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (Default)
Not in terms of temperature -- it actually was a decent temperature when I left work (though tomorrow's supposed to be pretty much downright FREEZING) -- but while there were, again, lots of little tasks to do, it wasn't as stressed as it was at the beginning of the week. A lot of my morning was spent helping coworkers reorganize our filing cabinets and truck some old paperwork down to the basement. And most of the rest of my day was roster maintenance or fixing up some payments. Little stuff. Even managed to sneak in another lunchtime walk, yay~ And traffic again wasn't completely miserable, though I got home a little later thanks to having to stop and put gas in the car. At least now I have a good idea of how to fuel up!

Evening's been low-key as well, with only a few things of note:

-->Got another chunk edited on "Secundus 2" -- gone through the bit where Victor and Alice reminisce a bit on how different their lives are from their starting points at the beginning of Secundus. They really have come a long way! And now I'm up to the point where I officially introduce Lightning, which is nice. :) Yay adorable hyperactive corgis!

-->Watched the last part of the "Rags To Witches" miniseries from James Turner -- yeah, mini-series. It was only nine parts! But what a nine parts it's been. . .at any rate, James managed to reset Column from her pregnancy glitchiness, and she and Simeon tried for another baby and ended up having a boy, Reginald. :) Born on Sim Halloween no less! And while she was home, Column not only mastered the entire spell book, she also grew an entire farm of money trees -- and then, thanks to some household inventory trickiness, managed to harvest the fruit and copypasto it. Between cloning the fruit and harvesting the previously copypastoed trees, she has roughly 1.5 MILLION SIMOLEONS. So yeah, the "riches" part of these LPs has definitely been obtained! Plus she's completed her aspiration (after some trouble dueling -- on the plus side, thanks to the 'duplicato clones can end up real Sims' glitch, she ended up dueling HERSELF at one point), so there's that as well. So the gameplay portion of the LP is DONE! James has promised a follow-up house renovation video, though, so I'm looking forward to that. Also looking forward to his eventual Discover University LP -- he's thinking about using Raggy's son Bob for that, to follow up on a different branch of the family tree for a while. :p Should be good!

-->Also watched two Call Me Kevin videos:

A) Internet Cafe Simulator, where the goal is to create and nurture your own internet cafe! The game is -- actually much weirder than that. Starting with the fact that you're in a seedy part of town with strip clubs, and moving onto the fact that you can get hacked at a moment's notice from clicking on pop-up ads on your in-game computer. Kevin, naturally, got hacked as many times as humanly possible and went around "deactivating" people with a baseball bat when they wronged him. (Hey, that's what the game said to do to the homeless people!) Also mining bitcoin and scratching virtual scratch tickets. XD Yeah, his business wasn't exactly a success.

B) Planet Zoo, where the goal is to build a nice zoo that balances its budget while taking care of the animals! Yeah, uh, Kevin didn't do that. XD He started building an enclosure with one-way glass THE WRONG WAY AROUND, and ended up stuffing tons of different species in one electrified pen to have a battle royale. It was -- hilariously awful, as is most of Kevin's stuff. XD

-->Spent probably way too long reading random tumblrs/about people's Bloodlines OCs, yet still managed to get my Valice Multiverse queue done. Though it helped that it was just a bunch of asks tonight. Those tend to be a little easier to get through.

And now it's time to wrap things up and head to bed -- I am le tired. One more day to go! And then a three day weekend, w0000~ Thinking I might hit the mall on Monday -- depends a bit on the weather, but it would be fun to go to Dave & Buster's again. We'll see how things go. Night all!
