Shit Day From Hell At Work
Nov. 21st, 2019 11:17 pmYou know it's bad when you start with people screaming at us over the phone because of something we can't help. -.- And then the problems just kept piling on. . .I swear, we had every nasty phone call or letter today. And all sorts of other issues. It was -- it was not fun, to put it mildly. *heavy sigh* Literally the best part of it was going home, because by some MIRACLE traffic wasn't horrible today and I got home in good time. I can only hope the same is true of tomorrow!
Afternoon has fortunately been less stress-inducing:
-->Got another nice chunk done on "Secundus 2" -- we're past preparations for the trip and into the actual Hill Valley part! Well, sort of -- the gang is on the train TO Hill Valley right at the moment. But they're almost there! Just about time to get the gang back together, yay~ :)
-->Watched the latest episode of "Rags To Enrichment" -- James, as usual, seems to have forgotten more of the game than I've ever played, given he couldn't recognize a club activity when he saw one and forgot paid holidays are a thing in this game. XD But I can't fault his progress in Bob Bigwallet's schooling -- despite a few close calls needs-wise, Bob seems set for another term full of A+s! Having a weekend with no particular demands on his time and forming a study group to help with his homeworking helped a LOT, to be sure. As did getting away from his garbage pit of a dorm -- like, DAMN did it get stank in there for a while. So many stinking plates, both sinks spewing water, big pile of trash on the floor. . .it was not good. James is thinking Bob should move into some more private housing, maybe try to form his own fraternity -- can't hurt at this point! No matter what, though, I'm looking forward to what comes next.
-->Also caught up on GrayStillPlays and CallMeKevin's Sim Adventures:
GrayStillPlays is still killing his Sims in interesting ways! Today's method? Rabid Rodent Fever, aka the new death that came with My First Pet Stuff. As I refuse to get that pack on principle (as most of us do see it as "The Embarrassingly Obvious Cash Grab Pack"), this is basically the only way for me to experience the death, so I appreciate it, Gray! Very amusing, especially as one of the characters was a premade Sim who looked like Tommy Wiseau. XD
CallMeKevin, meanwhile, focused on Jim Pickens starting on the University Experience! Mostly because, shock of shocks, EA actually gave him a code for the game for free. Yes, they have ACTUALLY ACKNOWLEDGED HIM, double shock of shocks. They may be regretting this as Jim has immediately taken a Distinguished Degree program in Villainy at Foxbury, locked two of his dormmates in their room, filled the common area with foul-smelling fish, stolen all his roommate's school supplies, and killed people while singing karaoke in a bear costume at a talent showcase. XD Just the typical Pickens experience!
-->Tumblr Queue Update: Today's posts went out at 11:21 AM and 1:42 PM -- a little off from when they were SUPPOSED to post, buuuut they didn't both go out at once around 11:20 AM! So that's progress. I have cautiously put three things in the queue -- two set to post on Friday, one on Saturday. We will see the actual results tomorrow. Not TOTALLY confident the problem is fixed, but I can fake it.
And I've answered all the stuff in my inbox, so it's time to wrap things up online and see about heading to bed. One more day. . .hopefully it won't be too bad. We also have the lunch meeting, so that'll at least break up the day. Still, gonna be pretty relieved to get to this weekend. *nods* Night all!
