Back To Normal Wednesday
Dec. 4th, 2019 11:14 pm"Normal" here being defined as:
-->Going to work at the usual time and having the usual traffic -- some icy bits on the side streets, but I did all right
-->Having a pretty typical work day with returning phone calls and looking up addresses for billings and fixing GL issues and trying to figure out how to reverse something that is like three levels deep into soft credits
-->Coming home, only the MINUTE I try to get onto the highway, everything starts getting jammed up (I believe there was an accident based on something I heard later on the radio) and thus having a long and shitty ride back to the house due to having to cut through the city, which had equally-heavy traffic *sigh*
-->Having supper and watching Mock The Week
-->Writing some more on "Londerland Bloodlines" -- using Helloween's playthrough is going to start getting interesting from this point forward, because his Malkavian Alice did things in a different order than I did. Obviously I can still use his videos to get dialogue and figure out how to describe settings and such, but it's going to involve a LOT more jumping around. Especially if I keep altering things, like Mercurio and Strauss leaving their notes to Alice in her mailbox instead of on her desk like in the game. Ah well, slow and steady wins the race here. . .
-->Watching two videos on the YouTubes:
A) The latest episode of "Rags To Enrichment," where James experienced The Stress of having to coordinate Bob and Trash's schedules (Trash actually missed a couple of her classes because he was trying to improve Bob's robotics skill over at the Commons -- fortunately she's doing well enough that it's not a huge deal, and hey, she's at least got her final presentation out of the way!), dealing with visitors who just didn't leave (namely, Bob's old Britechester fling, and later Trash's freshly-ex-boyfriend Orange -- he actually put some tents and a cooler in the yard to make a "shantytown" for these seemingly-permanent visitors! Which came in very handy when Bob invited the Britechester fling over again for a "need fun" booty call), and trying to actually do something with Bob's new membership in the Bot Savants (turns out robotics is a VERY SLOW skill to build; also Vladislaus Straud is a member of the organization. For some reason. I mean, according to Get Famous, he does own at least one hardware store, so it SORT OF makes sense, but still). I am mildly terrified of my planned Valice college AU save file now, because I'd be juggling FOUR Sims and their schedules in University, and James is showing it can be hard to keep track of just TWO. . . Well, that hasn't even gotten started yet, so no sense in worrying about it yet!
B) The latest episode of Atop The Fourth Wall, where Linkara looked at an Evil Dead Christmas comic! Specifically, an Evil Dead 2 comic, as that's what the creators held the license for. (Yeah, that SPECIFIC MOVIE, not the franchise as a whole. *shrug* Weirdly enough, I'm pretty sure that's happened with BTTF before, where a company gets specific rights to some of the stuff in BTTF II -- at least, I seem to recall a lot of my stuff actually bought from the old BTTF gift shop in Universal Orlando having a BTTF II label!) It was not great -- evil ghost brings cloned-from-a-severed-hand Ash (uh, yeah, so this is a second Ash, not the original from the movies -- no chainsaw hand) and his companion Annie (who cloned him to get out of Hell and now regrets it every time he opens his mouth and mentions her parents still trapped in Hell) to a Deadite-haunted amusement park; Ash, Annie, and two kids stranded in the park proceed to defeat all the monsters and sing carols. Not quite funny enough, no real heartwarming moments -- art was good, though! I'll give a comic a lot of points if it's at least decent to look at. Seen too many examples of absolutely wretched artwork on that show.
-->Updating my queue for Victor Luvs Alice -- not quite through Friday, but I've made some good progress, and I'm ready for tomorrow! :)
And now it's time to update my comments in the inbox and see about heading to bed. Gotta get my sleep, after all -- two days yet to go in this week! If I can have a better ride home tomorrow, I'll be happy. *sigh* Haaaaaate cutting through the city. . . But what can you do, sometimes? At least I got to feel fairly productive today. . .night all!
