Meh Monday

crossover_chick: Doc snoozing on his couch (BTTF: exhausted)
While my commute in and back wasn't that bad, work itself was -- stressful. Lot of phone calls asking for stuff, and us kind of scrambling to keep up and figure out what's going on. It's just -- uuugh. I hate sometimes how out of the loop we are on certain things, like billings. Having schedules we could work from would be nice! We'll see how tomorrow is on that front. . .so long as some of the people in the back are actually present, maybe things will go smoother.

Evening at least was a little better -- as I said, my commutes weren't horrible, and I got a decent amount done this evening:

-->Started getting back into the swing of things with workout videos, which is good

-->Wrote another page on "Londerland Bloodlines," covering the questions the PC can ask Rosa, with appropriate variations for Alice's situation (namely, that she can at least rely on Bertram and VV for help, and that one of the people she can fully trust is Victor, here known as "the blood-collared one who walked with death" (because he's going to be Alice's ghoul and he went through that "corpse bride" stuff with Emily)). Next up is examining the body on the pier, and then getting her over to the clinic to meet Knox!

-->Caught up on the Wyrd Sisters Podcast, which recently covered Witches Abroad -- that story where Magrat becomes a fairy godmother and she, Nanny Ogg, and Granny Weatherwax have to stop "Cinderella" from happening. A solid book, and the podcast agreed. Lot of quoting of my favorite moments, lots of good discussion on how the book evolves the witch cast of characters and handles foreign parts. And next up is Small Gods, which I remember being quite good, so I'm looking forward to that too.

-->Also caught up on the remaining Bloodlines 2 videos from Outstar I had knocking around in my Watch Later. First was a video with her speculations on who among the characters we know about so far would have the best chance of being romanceable (because apparently at least flirting with people is definitely something that can happen in Bloodlines 2). Her top pick is the Tremere lady whose quest featured most prominently in the game demos, Elif, interestingly enough. I dunno how accurate any of this is going to be in the end, but it is fun to speculate! And if there are romance options, I'm probably gonna for roommate Dale -- he's cute, and smart enough to stay out of the vampire politics bullshit. A position I (and Alice) can strongly support.

Second was a quick video announcing her involvement in the official Bloodlines 2 prologue TTRPG, "Vein Pursuit!" It's a prologue campaign that the team is doing to help link the two games together, and is essentially a road trip between L.A. and Seattle as a bunch of rag-tag Anarch vampires help a courier deliver an important package between the two cities. Outstar plays Veronica, a curious case -- an Anarch Ventrue. Which, if you know anything about VtM vampires, you know isn't exactly common -- Ventrue are essentially the faces of the Camarilla, so they're not usually welcome in Anarch circles. Veronica is bucking the odds in a nice leather jacket though, soooo. . . The first episode has already been released, though true to form for these sorts of things, it's over two and a half hours long, soooo. . .yeah, gonna have to find a way to carve out some time for that if I want to watch it! (And I do!)

-->Finished up getting the last of my pictures sorted for the latest Newcrest Adventures update, and got all four posts started with said pictures in the queue, yay~ The first three even have captions -- I realized I was running out of time on the last one and just got the pictures in the right order. So I'm a little ahead of the game for tomorrow.

-->And I've already answered the comments in my inbox, so I'm ahead on that too, yay~

And now it's time to wrap up and head to bed -- still got four days of work to get through, after all. *siiiigh* Really hoping things calm down a bit over the next few days. . .I don't think they are, but I can hope, right? Gotta remember to fill out a form to approve for a day off too tomorrow. . . Night all!
