crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (Default)
At least work-wise -- one of my coworkers had to leave early due to a family emergency; we had some more phone calls about missing stuff and having explain what happened; and one of the toilets in the ladies' room started -- acting up. As in, I flushed it, and it WOULDN'T STOP FLUSHING. o.O No clue what the hell happened -- I sent a ticket to maintenance, and I guess they fixed it as, the next time I went in, it was quiet, but. . . *shrug* On the flip-side, though, my request for next Friday off was approved (yay), we weren't completely overwhelmed with calls (there was a burst after lunch, but nothing too bad), and I managed to clean up some duplicates, so that was good. Still, glad to be out of there for the weekend!

Evening's been pretty nice as well:

-->Mom picked up two new puzzles -- we're working on the first one now. It's basically a big picture of a general store, with lots of signs and whatnot -- since there's plenty of text to match, we're already making decent progress. I don't expect us to FINISH it this weekend, but we should get a good chunk of it done.

-->Got another page done on "Londerland Bloodlines," taking Alice off the beach and to the clinic. She's just met Knox -- mistook him for a guy about to make a pass at her. :p Nope, Alice, he's actually going to be an important source of information! As is his master, Bertram. . .

-->Watched James Turner's latest episode of Planet Zoo -- another episode of him hanging out with a staff member (this one the Principal Designer, Jim Stimpson) and building things. For a full hour, no less! Lots of changes to the zoo -- the Africa staff zone was moved to the other side of the exhibit; the crocodiles were moved to a new enclosure; some cheetahs were purchased and given an exhibit -- and then proceeded to have four babies (:D); and some Galapagos tortoises were given the old croc habitat. Also one of the red pandas died from old age -- WHILE CLIMBING DOWN A CLIMBING FRAME. It was -- darkly hilarious, watching it just fall on its head midway down. XD Also the flamingos are suffering -- all of us in the comments are telling him to either expand their habitat further into the lake that the crocs used to have, or switch them and the tortoises, who don't need water and thus wouldn't mind a smaller chunk of the lake. Hopefully he listens!

-->Answered the comments in the inbox and the questions in the Valice Multiverse ask box, so I'm set there, yay~

So yeah -- I guess overall it was a pretty good Friday. Just work could have been better, but that's no surprise. :p

Anyway -- Friday Night Writing Thing should be imminent, so I'll be looking out for that. The checklist for tomorrow:

1. Clean my room

2. Make Valicetines (plus my one Vemiliciatine idea)

3. Play some Fallout 4

4. Try and wipe out at least the GrayStillPlays or the CallMeKevin in my Watch Later queue (Preferably I'd like to do BOTH, but I don't know how much time I'll be spending away from the computer thanks to the "cleaning room"/"new puzzle" combination, so. . .)

5. Post the second-to-last chapter of "Scenes From Secundus"

So yeah, wish me luck on all that! Night all!
