Briefly Stormy Thursday
Apr. 9th, 2020 11:27 pmAs in, I had to turn off my computer for a little under an hour around 2 because we had some heavy thunderstorms roll in. Fortunately they rolled right back out again, and by five we were seeing sunlight! It's still freaking windy out, but the rain and the lightning and such has moved on, yay. Though they might be back for Monday. . .rain, at least. I dunno when the next storms are due. Hopefully not for a while -- kinda relying on the computer for entertainment during this time!
Anyway, the round-up for today includes:
-->Not a lot happening on the work e-mail -- which makes sense, as the people controlling our database just made a major update to it. I'll be checking that out tomorrow!
-->Quite a bit happening on the YouTube front! Got a bunch of videos watched in my Watch Later queue. Allow me to try and sum up:
A) Two videos from Jay from the Kubz Scouts, both about Yandere Simulator (Jay trying to get through the Alphabet Killer Challenge again with the new build that has the mode as a specific challenge in it -- he couldn't do it without cheating, though he got farther than usual with the new goodies on tap; and one about myths and questions people had about the new builds, like under what circumstances can you SNAP, and if it's possible to trigger the police while SNAPPING (answer is no))
B) One GrayStillPlays video on Transport Manager 2, where he decided he was going to break the game by spawning in literally HUNDREDS of cruise ships to take his populace from Florida Island to Starbucks Island (the game alternately chugged and handled so many cruise ships well -- it was literally amazing to watch them all spawn XD Though it was the building of a land wall between Florida and Starbucks that finally froze the game)
C) A whole SLEW of Call Me Kevin videos, including:
1. Kevin playing VR games in a chair that actually spins him around depending on his head movements (and one of the games was Fallout 4! That was unexpected; didn't know you COULD play that in VR! I mean, I knew there was a special edition which could turn your phone into a Pip-Boy, but. . .)
2. Kevin visiting the newly-resurrect Club Penguin (a very strange place with many idling people and lots of bizarre mini-games; Kevin did his best to make it weirder XD)
3. Kevin visiting Dreams again to play more completely baffling mini-games and watch more shorts of Wario being killed (the people in this game really hate him for some reason; also the games continue to have very little in the way of production values, and that is why we love them)
4. Kevin playing the latest Hearthstone expansion in a video sponsored by Blizzard (he was up against a fellow Irish friend -- two wins, two losses each! Kevin was hilarious in both victory and defeat XD Especially when he used Knife Juggler to scratch damage his opponent to death XD)
5. Kevin destroying Fallout 4 with a variety of strange and stupid mods (in a video I'd, uh, apparently watched before? ^^; Ah well, I had no memory of it, so it was nice to revisit it in all its terrible voice-acting, SHAUN!-shouting, Portal Gun using goodness :D)
6. Kevin playing Fallout 4's CREEPIEST COMPANION MOD (two words, folks -- EVIL MANNEQUINS. LOTS of them. And a creepy "Vault Boy" toy -- which becomes your companion! I'm pretty sure that, judging by his attack animations, he's been cloned off Dogmeat or something, but it's, um, -- disturbing. Kevin's commentary did make it better, but stilllll. . .)
-->Played more Fallout 4 myself (with fewer creepy mannequins and Vault Boys -- hooray for a vanilla game!) Finished clearing out the Revere Beach station (had to take care of a couple of feral ghouls chained up behind a door), then hoofed it back to Finch farm, where I bought some Stimpacks and Radaway off a traveling doctor, and took a well-earned nap in a newly-built sleeping bag before handing in my quest. Took the first level of the "Strong Back" perk for more carrying power before fast-traveling all over the place for settlement maintenance (Sunshine Tidings had more settlers and thus needed more water supplies, gave them a bit more food and a scavenging bench as well; hit Sanctuary to drop off some crap and clean up my inventory a little (built another artillery piece too! Jun's on it), then hoofed it over to Red Rocket to clean up more stuff, dropping off all my magazines in the handy magazine rack there). AND I found a nice chunk of supplies at Bedford Station in one of my "Miscellaneous" mini-quests, AND I painted my Power Armor in Minuteman colors for good measure. Thinking of taking that with me when I finally head off on my final Minuteman mission, because we are heading far south, where all the scary monsters are, to help a settlement with a supermutant problem (I assume, anyway -- the quest name says "Greenskins," soooo). Might be handy to have something that gives me some extra protection! And allows me to take a minigun with me. . .
-->Wrote some more on "Secundus 2" chapter 6 -- we have made it to Clara's cottage at long last! There's still some unpacking to do, and a quick chat with everyone teasing Doc to clean up afterwards, but we're actually finally coming to the end of this chapter! Again, won't be ready THIS Sunday, but NEXT Sunday should be doable. I hope you're all ready to see it after all this time! :p
-->Got some more of my Victor Luvs Alice queue done earlier, and did my Valice Multiverse queue this evening, so that's good to go, yay~
And now it's time to wrap things up and head to bed. Tomorrow is Friday, w000~ Plans include OXBox videos, Linkara, and -- most importantly -- finishing up my Bloodlines Malkavian!Alice playthrough! Gotta take down the Sheriff and confront LaCroix for the last time! Feels a bit like the end of an era, honestly. . . Though, given how my brain will NOT shut up about getting a version of Bloodlines!Alice and my Fallout!Victor together, maybe it's just the start of a new one. *facepalm* Can we -- can we please focus on "Londerland Bloodlines?" Please?
Anyway -- time to wrap things up and head to bed. Night all, hope you're all doing well!
