crossover_chick: Doc in goggles and holding a big old plug with the words "feeling sparky..." (BTTF: feeling sparky/creative)
It didn't start OUT great -- there were riots in Providence last night (though my work was unaffected), and on a more personal level the GL took longer than anticipated and the copier got jammed while I was copying it, meaning I had to open it up to remove the stuck paper -- but it got better as the day went on. I think having an uninterrupted lunch break is one of those little load-bearing luxuries I need to get through a day without feeling completely overwhelmed. A bit of destressing time is key to my mental health at work. And I got some stuff on and out of my hair, so that was good too. Slowly but surely chipping away at the piles of work!

Afternoon was decent too:

-->Mom's feeling better, fortunately -- she's sticking with broth and Jell-o for food at the moment, but at least she can have SOMETHING!

-->Got in my afternoon laps once I got home, since the weather was decent enough -- that's nice too, getting a chance to go out and get a little exercise (I can't risk it on my lunch break anymore)

-->Got another decent chunk done on Chapter 8 of "Secundus 2" -- shit is going down at the buffet, sadly, thanks to the reappearance of a certain Tannen. Fortunately Alice yanked Victor out of the way before he could get seriously hurt, but this isn't going to end well for anybody. . .

-->Call Me Kevin marathon in YouTube today!

A) "Big Chungus" mobile games! . . .He's a rabbit who doesn't like a farmer who's set up shop in his forest and goes around breaking his stuff. If he's not running away from giant boulders (or running THROUGH them), or making soundboards. Yeah, I'm – I'm confused. But Kevin seemed to be enjoying himself, soooo. . .

B) Another episode of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone on PS1! Game was extra-glitchy today, which did not help Kevin play it, that's for sure. XD But he managed to make it through a library even more killer than the one in the Skool; encounter the Mirror of Erised; get his Nimbus 2000 from McGonagall; and survive another near-lethal Charms class to learn the spell that lets you set things on fire. Even got an A! *high-five* You go, Kevin-controlled Harry! That's a real accomplishment.

C) A "wizard VR game" (I didn't forget the name, Kevin did! Though a commenter called it Waltz), that uses hand tracking! So no controller for Kevin – it's all hand movements or bust! And bust is about what he did, as in busting up his wizard tower. XD It's a pretty neat little game – you have your main room, where you can mix up various things to learn spells like making things huge or tiny, drawing in the air to create actual physical things you can move around (like a FECK XD), or making music on everything you touch. And then there are the quest areas, which – Kevin did not do so well on. XD He's more of a studying wizard than a fighting wizard, a fact he accepted by the end of the video. Time to just kick back with a hat, a pipe, and loads of random potions to cause havoc with. XD

D) And the Love Island Mobile game, which is basically "standard microtransactions" Episode, only WORSE because it ALSO forces you to sit through a fashion show every time the cast (and there is a LARGE cast) changes their outfit! And there were TWO outfit changes pretty close together, soooo. . . Kevo not impressed-o, is what I'm saying. :p He did his best to cause some chaos, stringing one guy along while constantly trying to sabotage another's relationship with the girl he didn't like, but eventually he had to cave to the annoyance. We appreciate your efforts, Kevin. Yours and FUCKINGMICROTRANSACTIONS! (That's what he named his character XD)

-->And I'm currently doing a bit of queuing on both Valice Multiverse and Victor Luvs Alice before finishing up with comments and heading to bed. Two days down, three to go. Hoping that something decent manages to happen before the week's out. . .don't have particularly HIGH hopes, but -- gotta hold onto something. *sigh* Night all. Stay safe.
