Kinda Stressful Day
Jun. 2nd, 2021 11:06 pmBut then again, it was a work day, soooo -- par for the course? *sigh* Anyway, the round-up:
Work – Frustration levels increase! First with our check scanner not working, then with getting a list of questions from the Fiscal department that we couldn’t really answer, then the conference call which was really mostly the Fiscal department poorly wording what was bugging them about the way the credit card company uploads transactions and the credit card guy not really seeming to understand. . .I mean, it looks like some things have gotten fixed, but I don’t have much long-term faith in anything getting done to STOP the constant errors. *sigh*
Beanbags – Well, today was better for Mom, but not better for me – 2-3-3 was my scores for the day, with Dad winning the first two games and Mom winning the third. Honestly, while I would have liked to have won one, it does tend to annoy me a tiny bit whenever Dad sweeps us, so I’m glad Mom was able to pull out the win in the third. Just hoping I can get something – well, maybe not tomorrow, we’ve got rain coming in. This weekend?
To-Do List –
1. Get in a workout: Check – another 25 on the bike, and watching another Sims 4 mods video. Not quite as interested in this one, as it featured more “adult” mods like Wicked Whims (Sims will randomly have the woohoo with each other, and the “proper” version of the mod features nudity) and Basemental’s drug mods (grow and sell your own weed!). But hey, different strokes for different folks, and there was some interesting stuff in there. I need to take another look at what’s available in the Slice of Life mod. . .
2. Edit some more on “Londerland Bloodlines”: Check! Finished off the first encounter with Knox – Alice has gone from “cripes who is this overenthusiastic loon who grokked me for a vampire” to “okay you are playing a part good sir and I want to know why.” XD Sorry, Knox, but Alice gets extra perception as a vampire – and in her case, it can size you up and praise your acting skills. XD At least now she knows a bit more about ghouls – and the fact the blood bank in the bank caters to her kind. Not that she’s going to particularly enjoy meeting who runs it. . .
3. Keep up with YouTube Subscriptions: Check, though it was a bit easier today -- Call Me Kevin didn't upload. But we did have a couple of longer videos from my remaining two --
A) Started with James Turner and episode 2 of the Dream Home Decorator LP! With the possible title of “Rags to Redecoration,” as suggested by the comments. :) Hazel has completed a couple more gigs now – a single-bedroom renovation in Sulani (changing a sad empty room with a concrete floor into a nicer bedroom with wood floors, a rug, a loft bed, and a very expensive red guitar), and a reading room renovation in Britechester for the Pleasant Sisters (Lilith in particular – who apparently likes bowling, so James went all out on the bowling décor before actually giving her a fairly decent new room with a chaise lounge, TV, and lots of plants) and has added a shower and a fridge to her own apartment! She’s also visited the lounge in Newcrest and met her potential husband – Lord Bigwallet! He’s the youngest of Sebastian’s sons from the Seasons Rags to Riches – an elder now, but when has that stopped the course of true love? Or of gold-digging, if that’s more of Hazel’s thing. . . XD We’ll see how it goes!
B) And then it was onto Gray, destroying Minecraft once again! XD This time, it was his own flesh that received the power of zeroes – namely, in the form of potions that gradually made him bigger, stronger, and even more destructive than normal. Ever wanted to see a giant yeet a horse halfway across the map with one swing of his sword? How about dig a hole the size of Canada from one mighty leap? XD Granted, Gray’s Super Saiyan mode had its issues – namely, his huge size made getting through various portals problematic. He made through into the Nether via building the obsidian portals gigantic, and into The End by destroying part of the portal there – but he couldn’t escape The End itself after murdering the Ender Dragon! Poor Gray was trapped there forever, with no better entertainment than yeeting Endermen. . .somehow, I don’t think he was that bothered. XD
4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: N/A today, beyond adjusting said queue down to one again. Bit of a distracted evening, and I can’t really do anything with the queue until tomorrow, since it’s another chapter-posting day. Not gonna complain.
Not much else to say -- time to clear out the remaining comment and hit the sheets. Two more days to go, with rain followed by SUPER-hot temperatures, apparently. Summer, as usual, comes on pretty fuckin' quick when it comes here. Meh. Would have been nice to have more days like yesterday, but no love. . . We'll see how June goes. Night all!
