Mostly because I feel like my time management wasn't exactly the best -- things taking longer than expected and whatnot. But I did get some stuff done:

1. Work some more on the HypnoKink Notes Document: Check! Working on cleaning up the magic system section now – getting all the rules into a nice understandable order, and getting down on virtual paper who has what (in terms of story relevance anyway – it occurs to me I should probably give the elder Liddells something magical too, but I’m not sure what yet). Slowly but surely organizing all the information I might need to turn this into a proper verse!

2. Watch at least one of the OXBox RE8 episodes in my Watch Later, Jon's FO4 YOLO episode, and whatever I can of YouTube Subs: Well, technically a check as I achieved all of these goals, though I really wish I’d managed to watch more than ONE video from my Subs. Catch up, immediately fall behind again. . .though that’s on me spending more time than I expected both on writing and Portal Reloaded (hard puzzle game is hard!) –

A) Actually started with an OXShort, a snippet from one of their OxVenture podcasts (about their DND campaign) – apparently vampires came up, and the short was basically Andy comparing picking your vampire clan to picking your frat or sorority house in college. XD And now I think a lot of people want to see them play Vampire: the Masquerade in some capacity. I remember them doing a brief chunk of Bloodlines in the past, if they want to just do more of THAT. . .

B) Then, late this afternoon, I did manage to get in Episode 5 of the OXBox Resident Evil Village LP – “FRANKENSTEIN FACTORY FUN TIMES!” :D As you might imagine, this involved Ethan, as controlled by Andy, Mike, and Jane, going to confront Heisenberg in his factory of horrors! Though first he had to take a trip through one of the local ruined castles and kill a bunch of lycans and Werewolf Santa (and his big hammer), pick up his daughter’s torso flask (and shoot down ALL the crystal fragments out of a crystal cave), and do an elaborate ritual with all four flasks at the village’s two altars (as Andy put it, if a place has two altars, it really should be classed as a town). This allowed a bridge to pop up, and Ethan to descend into Heisenberg’s lair. Heisenberg offered Ethan a deal, also wanting to destroy Mother Miranda, but Ethan was firm on the point that his daughter is not a weapon, and so he got dropped into the factory, where he had to run around casting things while being chased by Propeller-Head (half-man, half-industrial fan) and a variety of zombies with "Oculus headsets" and occasionally drills for arms. Apparently Heisenberg has been trying to raise an army, and this is his best attempt. *pulls a few faces* I’m – not that impressed, Discount Magneto. XD Looks like the next episode is when we finally see Chris again. . .hopefully I can catch up on that one next weekend!

C) This evening, after my long-awaited (and very quick because of persistent leakage) shower, we started with some GrayStillPlays! Because I always skip him on Sunday and I’m sick of having to shove his Minecraft experiments back a day. Today was making anything he attacked multiply randomly – random numbers AND random sizes! As you might imagine, things started going wrong pretty quickly, as he realized that, uh, having weapons that multiply your foes (and make them really small and/or big) as you kill them aren’t very helpful. I mean, he FINALLY had enough Blazes to kill for their rods, but. . . And then midway through his trip through the Nether, his crossbow broke because the arrows were multiplying. . .and when he returned to the surface to try and fix it, he lost Reginald. His poor chicken, condemned to the outer void! :( Gray did his best to make his boy proud while going after the Ender Dragon, but not even the broken “spews arrows so fast it breaks the game” crossbow could take her down this time. What could? Why, GRAY MULTIPLYING HIMSELF! Yup, the clones were back – now with the power of speech! Namely the power of “Yeetus!” XD It was a WEIRD episode, is what I’m saying.

D) And then, of course, it was time for more of Jon’s Fallout 4 YOLO run! Finalley is still in Nuka-World, and in today’s episode, we took on Kiddie Kingdom so Jon could get a feel for how Finalley handled the monsters of Nuka-World! After spending a bunch of caps at the market to boost Strength and Endurance with the SCAV! perk (and get tons of ammo and other goodies – and sell his Smart Frag grenades, as apparently they count as guaranteed Legendaries to the game) and getting a good night’s sleep, of course. With all that taken care of, Finalley headed out into the world, slapped on her hazmat suit, and headed into Kiddie Kingdom to, if not clear it, at least farm a bunch of Legendaries!

And, for a while, it worked out all right! She made her way relatively slowly through the park, taking out ghoul after ghoul after ghoul – though Jon expressed concern that it took her two shots to take out your basic Painted Ghoul (a variant of the Reaver) even with adrenaline going up. But her enemies were dying, she was getting plenty of sneak attacks, things were good. She even bagged a few Legendaries, getting weapons like the Nimble Gamma Gun (Jon left it behind as he said he’d never use it), the Crippling Combat Rifle (Jon was intrigued by this one, but wasn’t sure it was any better than the Staggering one he’s already using it – took it just in case), the Lucky 10mm (great effect he was waiting for, but he didn’t think it was on a good enough gun, so he took it only to sell), and – on a Legendary that was dead when he found it – a Penetrating Missile Launcher (if your missile launcher needs to further ignore people’s armor, you’re using it wrong – again, Jon took it to sell later). There was also another piece of Powered armor – Combat Armor Left Leg to be precise, which he WOULD have left except it was already a bit better than the Powered Raider’s Left Leg Finalley already had. So that was worth getting since she could mod it up right away. So yeah, that was all going well –

And then, right by King Kola’s Castle. . .it happened.

Finalley was surprised by a Painted Ghoul that managed to take a swipe at her.

A swipe that went straight through her hazmat suit and took off 146 hit points. That was HALF HER REMAINING HEALTH.

Poor Jon couldn’t even SPEAK for about a minute afterward. And when he finally did, you could hear it in his voice the poor guy was devastated. Like, that – that’s potentially run-ending, right there. Finalley only has 145 hit points left right at the moment. Worse yet, she’s apparently still ABOVE the threshold where her Unyielding gear’s effects would kick in, so she can’t even get any benefit from that. Jon was like “I have made so many mistakes in this run. . .”

Strangely enough, though, he pressed on with Kiddie Kingdom after that, taking things a LOT slower in open terror of getting hit again. King Kola’s Castle was actually fairly easy, as he’d already figured out that if you can get the limbs off the ghouls in the theater, they can’t return when Oswald brings them back to life with a rad burst, so he just blew up a bunch of heads and shot Oswald himself a couple of times when he arrived. And the Fun House wasn’t too awful either – more shit Legendary gear, like a Poisoner’s Handmade Rifle (too many enemies in the game are resistant to poison damage, apparently), and there was a terrifying moment at the end of the Halls of Hallucination where Finalley JUST BARELY avoided some more hits from a couple of other ghouls, but she made it through in one piece and completed it. But yeah – Jon stopped the episode right after that to have a cup of tea and redo his plans. I’ve already suggested that Finalley just LEAVE Nuka-World, go back to the Commonwealth proper, and finish the main game – I seriously think, given all the major hits she’s taken already, that this DLC will kill her. And I’d be sad to see the series stop, and even sadder to see it end without Finalley completing at least the main campaign. We’ll see what happens next Sunday!

3. Play more Portal Reloaded: Check! Only got a few test chambers ahead – had to look up some help again for Chamber 12 (another flingy puzzle, interestingly enough). These later puzzles seem to rely as much on timing as anything else. And now they’ve brought in lasers that may only function in ONE time period, and now I’m trying to figure out how to light up all three spinny laser things, AND put the laser in the receptacle, all while dealing with the fact the laser weirdly only functions in the FUTURE. Gotta get my placement of cubes and time portals right!

4. Continue working on tumblr queues: Half check – I didn’t get a chance to do anything over on VictorLuvsAlice, but I got the two asks that came in today into Valice Multiverse, which is something.

5. Get in a workout: Uh – no check. I meant to do it, but the timing of watching the OXBox RE8 video, us playing beanbags, and then supper meant that I never got down there. ^^; We’re just gonna have to start fresh on Monday!

Additionally:

-->As stated above, we got back to beanbags again today – 2-2-2-3-W for me! Dad had W-W-W-2-3, and Mom 3-3-3-W-2. This was the one day I wouldn’t have minded if Dad swept, but I’m happier that we all ended up winning one. :)

-->Also as stated above, the leak issue persists -- my parents caulked up the tub, but water was spotted during Mom's shower. Covering up the soap dish mounted into the wall seemed to help with mine, though, so that's next on the list to be resealed. We're just trying to avoid having to have a plumber come in and start ripping apart the bathroom because we're already scheduled to redo the driveway, and my parents are looking to update the kitchen, so. . . *sigh*

-->No luck so far finding a new car -- so far everything we've seen has been too iffy to consider checking out. We'll see how things go!

So yeah -- kind of a "didn't expect the time to get away from me on some of this" sort of day. And now it's back to work tomorrow. . .got a full week this week, followed by the big end-of-month cleaning weekend. *grumbles* Hopefully it won't be too stressful. . .fingers crossed, anyway. Night all!
