crossover_chick: Doc in goggles and holding a big old plug with the words "feeling sparky..." (BTTF: feeling sparky/creative)
Mostly because my Pip-Boy came in the mail! :D And it's actually really nice! It looks like the in-game model, it has a cool lenticular screen that goes between three different images depending on how you tilt it (STATS, MAP, INV), and it's just -- really cool! The only thing is that it doesn't have the inner padding on the cuff, which explains why the one negative I kept seeing in all the reviews was "it's kind of loose on your arm." But it'll more than do for my costume (especially once Mom adds some padding inside), and it's just a nice collectible overall. :) I'm very happy with it!

Also happy with my progression on today's to-do list:

Work – Quiet Monday, which, trust me, I appreciated. Though I did spend most of my day cataloging outstanding items and trying to chase down a missing check, with a few obits near the end. Still, not nearly as stressful as any day last week, so I will take it.

Beanbags – Yes, despite some threatening-looking clouds and a distinct chill in the air (relatively – supposed to start getting even COLDER this weekend, so that’ll be fun) – and unfortunately, despite some strong starts, I couldn’t pull out any wins. Didn’t lose every game either, though – got 3-2-2. Dad got W-3-W (just beating me in the third game), while Mom got 2-W-3. Not too bad, though I hope I do better tomorrow!

To-Do List

1. Get in a workout: Check – back on the bike to finish off the last half-hour of L.A. By Night, “Mortal Stakes!” Victor, Annabelle, and Jasper fought the pair in the parking lot – Victor and Eve taking a few shots at Long-Arm guy before Annabelle just BARRELED at him through the open doors of the SUV and beat him unconscious with the gun Eve gave her, while Jasper managed to knock out Tall Coat Dude after getting that “MacNeil” had sent them to stop them escaping the park. Nelli, meanwhile, used a bit of Blood Sorcery to climb up the wall of the observatory and point out ANOTHER car waiting for them at the bottom. Victor commandeered the thugs’ SUV (which was just about driveable – even for someone as EXTREMELY INEXPERIENCED as Victor) and took Annabelle, Nelli, and Eve down to the main roads, where he managed to lose their potential tail in the traffic (also calling Isaac to let him know “shit’s fucked and Annabelle is a Brujah, yes it is obvious in retrospect"). Jasper separated from the others (mainly because his Hunger was starting to get the better of him – he’s failed a few “Rouse Checks,” meaning he’s just gotten thirstier and thirstier for blood the more he uses his powers), but managed to literally leap after the other SUV in pursuit, and grab hold of the spare tire on the back long enough to get a decent look at the passenger before getting flung off (taking only superficial damage, because happily the Storyteller was rolling low tonight) and skulking off into the night, giving his own report to Isaac along the way. Apparently we pick up tomorrow meeting him at his “home” home – we’ll see where that is and how it goes!

2. Edit some more on "Londerland Bloodlines": Check – the skim-through to get the first chapter ready for posting continues apace! I’m through the opening cutscene now and well into the tutorial – Alice has fed on her first victim, and now she and Jack are dealing with the Sabbat raid. Just witnessed the Sheriff laying the pain down on the three sacrificial “lambs” with his ghostly wolves – which is going to lead into Jack explaining Disciplines a bit, because the game relies on pop-up boxes, and Alice can’t break the fourth wall. (That much.) XD

3. Keep up with YouTube Subscriptions: Check – three in, three out today –

A) Started with James Turner and the latest from the Cottage Living LP! Basically, everything is chaos because James is having a LOT of trouble getting his Sims to actually LISTEN to his commands. Things are just super glitchy, with the toddler constantly wandering from house to house looking for food and sleep, Hazel preferring just to stand around aimlessly rather than potty train her daughter, and Sims refusing to abandon tasks that James has canceled, meaning dog walks often end with the dogs being abandoned. Despite this, though, a few goals were achieved – Trenton has made super-best-friends with Cowtrina and has befriended some of the local birds and bunnies, meaning he’s just one Finchwick Fair away from completing his aspiration, and Chaz was able to sell a ton of produce to Kim (including special eggs and cowberries), plus his money tree finally grew, meaning he has just over 40K in the bank to renovate the front of his farm! James is thinking of making an activity room for the kids in the farmhouse itself too – good idea, considering how often they’re over there. XD But yeah, most of the episode was spent chasing Sims and trying to get them to obey his commands. Chaz, Hazel, Trenton, James does NOT need this kind of stress when he’s preparing to move. XD

B) Then it was over to Call Me Kevin and back to the “One Chunk” Minecraft LP! Things are going reasonably well in the chunk – yeah, no sheep have come over to allow Kevin to sleep, but he’s improved his boat perimeter defenses nicely, his farm is REALLY coming along now – complete with a whole SLEW of carrots for his pigs – and he’s dug out a monster-spawning dungeon with a special “early warning system” (three rooms, each with a pressure plate connected to an item dropper via redstone – if cobble has dropped, monster is in the pot!). Sure, a CREEPER spawned in the main “lobby” and nearly blew everything up, but he managed to fend it off. And he’s gotten some bones for bone meal so his precious crops will grow even better! Yes, he’s still living off bread, rotten flesh, and sleep deprivation, with his only company a trader and his llama (it was llamas, but one was eaten by a zombie), but he’s got a system, and the system is working! Unless he’s accidentally set all his crops to grow too fast. ...You know what, Kevin, I think you deserve the break.

C) And finally we had GrayStillPlays and 911 Dispatch, the crappy mobile version of other, better “you’re a 911 operator” games. Well, I SAY better – this game allows you to berate kidnap victims through text, destroy relationships, flirt with randos over the phone, snipe bank robbers (though not actually kill them), save cats from trees, and even hunt ghosts! All with a fleet of delightfully hot pink vehicles. XD It’s actually rather a lot of fun, and Gray was clearly enjoying just how ridiculous most of the conversations could get. As a bonus, the video was sponsored – by GRAY HIMSELF. The man has decided to make, of all things, his own coffee company. And, knowing his audience, he advertised that fact by flame-roasting some beans with a blowtorch and then smashing them and the table they were on with a war hammer. Congrats, Gray, this is literally the only time I’ve ever wanted to actually DRINK coffee. XD

4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Check – got the text for the actual final update for Wheatley, Chell, and Geeker sorted! Ran out of time for the final “Newcrest is now on hiatus” post, but I think I can fit that in tomorrow. Easier to do one than four, that’s for sure!

Not bad, not bad -- especially since I'm dealing with some extra tiredness tonight. Yeah, this is DEFINITELY PMS and period times moving in, I can feel it. Uuugh. . .but then again, better now than on Halloween itself. Just hope the actual moment of arrival doesn't catch me by surprise. . .like the time right now, yeesh. Night all!
