Runs In And Crashes Against The Wall

Work – Another largely quiet day, with more obits and duplicates – also me calling a few people who hadn’t gotten back to me yet, and actually getting a response from one, yay! Unlike with the credit card people. . .but then, I didn’t have high expectations anyway. We’ll see if anything happens tomorrow.
Beanbags – Yes, because it was warm and lovely out – and we had a truly equitable day today! I got 2-W-3; Dad got 3-2-W, and Mom got W-3-2. :) Perfecto!
To-Do List –
1. Get in a workout: Check – back on the bike, back with L.A. By Night, “Instruments of Darkness!” And I was right – Chris dead. The unfamiliar voice was his brother, who told Annabelle that Chris apparently died in a hit-and-run last night, which – hit Annabelle pretty hard. Yeowch. . .after that, she and Jasper got a call/text/whatever to meet Victor and Nelli at a chop shop, where they could go over the SUV they’d ‘acquired’ and search out useful info before having it quietly destroyed. Annabelle got her car, and called two people – her girlfriend Eleanor, whom she told to pack a bag (including a bag of “stuff we have apparently been collecting to use against vampires”) and go stay with a friend, and Mark Temple, Victor’s son and her boyfriend, who – yeah. She told him what was happening too. Fortunately there’s a bit of wiggle room in that he “believes she believes it,” meaning he probably thinks she’s a bit crazy, but. . .yeah, Jasper was unimpressed.
Anyway, everyone met up at the chop shop, scanned the car – really dirty floor mats with metal shavings, candy wrappers, and a GPS that let them see their pursuers, at least in this SUV, originated from some sort of factory. The gang had Eve drive them there, and Jasper went invisible to scout the place out (Annabelle pointing out he probably didn’t NEED Obfuscate, but Jasper explained he didn’t live this long by taking risks), while Victor – having figured out from some previous conversation that Annabelle may have told Mark something – started trying to get more intimidating with Nelli’s help. Honestly, while I can understand how this is frustrating on their end, what I REALLY want is Annabelle to explode and remind them HER SIRE LEFT HER ALONE EXPECTING HER TO JUST DRINK A PERSON AND BE OKAY WITH THAT. She ESCAPED IN TERROR and of course WENT TO THOSE SHE LOVED FOR HELP. Sorry, but – writing for Alice in “Londerland Bloodlines” as a fledgling who only knows what others deign to tell her after she was pitched out the door of the Nocturne Theater? My sympathy is for the frightened little girl who got dragged into this by a sire who sounds like a total fucking shithead. *sigh*
2. Finish editing and post Chapter One of "Londerland Bloodlines": SPEAKING of which. . . Check! :D First chapter, up in time for the “Start of VTMB Day” tomorrow! (Which is also “2015 Day,” which will always amuse me.) Please be aware, there is violence, blood-drinking, Alice’s Embrace is – rough, and the chapter is long. Pace yourselves, people. But I hope you enjoy it.
3. Keep up with YouTube Subscriptions: Check – three in, three out again!
A) Started with James Turner putting up an edited highlights video of a recent livestream – him playing SimsGuessr against his Twitch chat with the help of a clicker heat map to show where people are guessing on the various maps! The first shown round was all worlds available in the game – both Chat and James fell just shy of getting a perfect score, but James managed to do better than Chat by two tiles. :p The second round, however, was a Batuu-only round – and Chat managed a perfect score, while James ballsed up the second round by guessing Black Spire Outpost when he should have picked First Order. XD To be fair, it’s been a while since he took the pictures, and the two areas look WAY similar. XD But it was a fun time for all, and people had fun playing with the heat map and clicking on James’s head. XD
B) Then it was over to Call Me Kevin and playing Squid Game in Roblox! Yes, apparently someone has recreated the hellish experience in that little game maker, and Kevin played a few rounds! We had Red Light Green Light, a “hunt your opponents at the time when you should be sleeping” round, Cut The Cookie, Tug Of War, Glass Bridge, Guess The Number of Marbles – Odd Or Even – and an unknown round because the only time Kevin actually made it as far as the Marbles game, he was genuinely the last one standing and they couldn’t do the finale level. XD But it was fun times regardless! Kevin’s favorite game seemed to be Red Light Green Light, while his least favorite was the Glass Bridge (he died there so many times) – and the one he was the most invested in was the Tug of War, as it involved all the clicking. XD He also, in the last round, very briefly made an alliance with “doggiebros,” whom he tried to keep alive. . .but unfortunately they wouldn’t stop typing during the “hunt everyone” round, and were easily found and beaten to death, despite Kevin’s best efforts. Ah well. . .all’s fair in love and Squid Games. And Kevin died again to the glass bridge anyway, sooo. . . XD
C) And finally we had GrayStillPlays and Kuukiyomi 2: Consider It – New Era! Another installment in those games where you can choose to be consider of others. . .or to be a huge jerk. Guess what Gray chose. XD The only times he was consider was when he did it by accident, like letting a kid catch a fly ball because he didn’t realize he should keep his hand up. Usually, though, he was doing things like sitting on top of people on the bus, either letting his girlfriend get wet or bonking her on the head with the umbrella, deliberately walking into cars while crossing the street, hiding the solutions to math problems from students, getting food instead of tickets to the soccer game, and letting zombies into elevators (yes, a thing that happens in this game). The game declared him to be an “unsympathetic air purifier” by the end, which Gray found hilarious. XD You know a game knows Gray when it declares his common sense “needs work.” XD
4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Check, though HOO was this last minute! But I got the “Londerland Bloodlines” chapter, a bunch of Alice fanart, and a very funny Fallout 4 clip queued for the next three days, so I’m good, whew.
*pants* Yeah, got all of that done, fortunately, along with some stuff for my friend Squid regarding VTM stuff we're writing together, but damn this is the latest I've updated on a work night in a while and I have GOT to start pulling it back. *runs off* Night all!
