crossover_chick: Doc snoozing on his couch (BTTF: exhausted)
Been tired for a good chunk of the evening, honestly -- so yeah, here's the to-do list:

Work – Fortunately a fairly quiet day – no major disasters from the credit card people, just a couple of phone calls, mostly just cleaning up duplicates, as you do. Not too much stress, which I appreciate (even if the commute left something to be desired both ways).

Beanbags – Restoring it just for the moment, as we DID actually play today – temps were warm enough despite gloomy clouds. And I had a great day, with 2-W-W! :) Dad got W-2-2, and poor Mom was completely off. We’re probably not going to get a chance to play tomorrow (Mom’s going to visit a friend), but we’ll see about Thursday and Friday!

To-Do List

1. Get in a workout: Check – another thirty on the bike, another thirty with L.A. By Night, “Fear No Monsters!” After checking over Ramona’s pilfered bag and discovering a) no rats and b) lots of vampire-killing equipment, Victor took the bag, reminded Ramona that she could stay the night, then headed straight upstairs to his private office, where he locked the door, reviewed the items, and had Ib call someone – another vampire, given that Ib had to leave a message because it was already day where said someone was. The rest of the gang lingered for a moment, Annabelle talking to Ramona about how she doesn’t answer to any baron, and Ramona outlining how she’s SORT of an Anarch, but really does her own thing and avoids the sects – it’s a tough life, but worth it if you know what you’re doing (and helped by most elders these days being Beckoned off somewhere). Nelli got Annabelle and X out of there (clearly not liking the newbie hearing this), and they headed up to Victor’s office, where he stashed the bag in a hidden area before letting them in and reviewing the notes he got from the journalist – unfortunately for him, worthless, as they all detailed what happened to the car AFTER it was swiped. Continual friction between him, Nelli, and X about what was in the bag led him to just head out (and text Nelli and Annabelle that he’s trying not to let Baron Therese Voerman, whom X is loyal to, know what’s in the bag – this did not in any way stop them from letting X tear up the carpet in Victor’s office searching for it) and hit up one of the locals, Tommy, for anything he might have heard about Victor having a hit on him. Tommy admitted he had heard a thing or two – namely, it’s somebody named Bobby Blaine who has beef with Victor Temple. Not that Victor really remembers him. . .he mind-controlled Tommy into doing his best to get more information and cut him loose, going to check on his club post-Chocolate Drop performance (yes, he missed it, yes, he is pissed). Meanwhile, up in the office, Nelli finally admitted she’s seeing some sort of weird ghostly figure, and X ended up having a vision of what looked like Nelli herself in Griffith Park, in daylight, long before the city was built (or, as X said, could have been after L.A. was reclaimed by nature in the post-apocalyptic future). Everyone is very confused by this, as Nelli is insistent that she’s not that old and was only turned about ten years ago, so. . .left it with the gang preparing to rip up more carpet to find that bag! We’ll see how that turns out for them. :p

2. Write up this month’s birthday gift fic: Check – another tumblr friend has a birthday coming up on the 11th, so I figured I’d take this Tuesday to write a rough draft, as I am again between chapters in “Learn to Love Again.” Fortunately I had an idea already in mind (inspired by a post she showed me and some talk about how a couple of the characters she occasionally roleplays would be like in Secundus), so it was a pretty easy fic to write! I’ll let that sit for a few days, then revise it before popping it up for next Thursday!

3. Keep up with YouTube Subscriptions: Check – super easy, as I only had ONE Subs video today –

A) Yes, no James OR Kevin today, as they’re both busy with moving (James into his and Deli’s new house; Kevin back to his digs in Spain), so I once again turned to Plumbella to fill the void:

I. “The Entire History of the Goth Family” – exactly what it says on the tin, Plumbella going over the history of the Goths throughout the Sims franchise (posted on Halloween no less!). It was pretty interesting – I only knew about the family from Gunther and Cornelia on down, because I’ve only played three of the four mainline games. Apparently the line actually starts with Victor and Gretel, and there’s a whole ghost branch of the family (Samuel, Olivia, and their niece Frida). Not to mention the mentions of even more ancient ghosts, like Lady Ravendancer, who even gets a blurb in the Paranormal Stuff with the crystal ball. :) Fun stuff, and always good to learn a little more about the game and the lore surrounding the various families!

II. “using a Random Build Generator to build a house (never again)” – again, exactly what it says on the tin! Plumbella was in the mood for chaos and went to the “Random Build Generator App” on the Simsation Nation site to generate a build for her to make. After a few presses, it gave her a “pink Apartment” with room for eight Sims, in Britechester, with the “Registered Vampire Lair” lot trait, a budget of 50K, and requiring her to include a kid’s play room, a greenhouse, a fire pit, a cauldron room, a craft room, a laundry room, a jail cell, a kiddie pool, a skylight or glass roof, and the Perfect Patio Outdoor Living Room. This was – difficult, to say the least. XD Plumbella found a way around some of the requirements with the good old “debug” list of items, though, putting in the Realm of Magic’s static, unusable greenhouse into the front of a debug apartment building, and then building on top of and around that. XD The apartment itself was very pink as specified, had three bunk beds in one platformed room, combined the craft room and the children’s play room, and put the toilet and shower in the jail cell. XD Also the fire pit downstairs was right next to the kiddie pool. It definitely had its own unique style, that’s for sure! XD Lot of fun, though, and I’m tempted to run through the generator myself the next time I’m in a building mood!

B) And then it was over to my Subs for my lonely GrayStillPlays video, where he looked at Fitness Gym Bodybuilding Pump. This is one of those cheap mobile indie games where you have to build up a man made of play-doh into the swolest swole around, moving up the ranks from “someone’s tetanus-filled basement” to “an actual gym real people might go to.” And the best way to achieve this goal? ALL OF THE SUPPLEMENTS. Gray actually spent quite a bit of real-world money to buy a massive amount of fat burners, protein powders, and other supplements for his character – who, hilariously, looked quite a lot like Jim Pickens! Especially when Gray upgraded his outfit to glasses, a pair of black underwear, and gold shoes. XD Anyway, hyped up on all the supplements, Gray Pickens could do all of the exercises at maximum weight without issue, and quickly upgraded from “Gumby clone” to “ripped.” Gray made it a personal goal to earn more tokens with each painful workout, from over 800 with squats, to over 900 with leg presses. In return, Gray Pickens got a urine-stained mattress to sleep on, a nice TV, and – a disturbingly well-outlined groinal area. XD Good silly Gray fun!

4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Check – Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday are all set for Victor Luvs Alice, and I had one ask reply over on Valice Multiverse. Would have tried to do a little more, but “tiredness” and “lack of time” intervened. Next time!

Not too shabby at all, no. . .wish I felt a little more awake to expand more upon them, but ah well. Probably better if I try to get off a little earlier. Night all!
