As you will see from the to-do list --
1. Clean my room and do the monthly wash: Check! Got started a little later than usual (mostly because I woke up a little later; on the other hand I DESPERATELY needed a good eight hours, so), but started the room clean at 11 AM and ended around 2:15 PM (with a half-hour lunch break around 1 PM); and the laundry got started at noon and finished up at 3:40 PM (took a little longer because I had to spend a few minutes looking for a missing pillowcase that ended up in my fitted sheet). So the former is done for another couple of weeks, and the latter for another month!
2. Catch up on all YouTube Subs videos: Four-fifths check – James uploaded a longer scenario-based video today that I didn’t get to because I unfortunately had one of those days where I spent most of my time waiting for my parents to either come back from going to order cabinets (for their kitchen remodel) or call me to play beanbags or whatever, meaning I didn’t want to start anything for fear of being interrupted, meaning – yeah, I did NOT get much done when it came to catching up on any of the videos I’d planned to watch. But at least I’m back down to just one in the Subs, with the following taken care of –
A) First up, the latest on the “Rage To Riches” series from James Turner, w000! It was a fairly busy one too for the siblings:
Angus, having received a Cursed Bite from Kristopher at the end of Episode 2, went through his first transformation, where he spent most of his time howling under a tree before disappearing and ending up atop the mountain in Moonwood Mill butt-naked. XD However, due to him not running into and scaring any other Sims (the only one he met was his already-a-werewolf sister, who just howled along with him), he IMMEDIATELY unlocked the “transform at any time” ability, which was pretty cool. James took advantage of this to try and style his and Nina’s pelts to match their hair colors a little more (as they both ended up kind of generic gray when they first transformed) – Angus’s didn’t really stick, though Nina did end up at least a little redder, so. . . As he’s a sweet and kind werewolf in contrast to his sister, James set about trying to do some werewolf diplomacy – with Brodie, of all people. Their grandfather, who is a GRAND MASTER VAMPIRE with all those minuses that make it hard for people to like him, I remind you. It took quite a lot of chatting and cloudgazing and playing chess together, but they DID actually become friends. . .but then Angus wrecked it by asking for werewolf sympathy, which Brodie was NOT willing to give. Damn. Back to the drawing board, which here means trying to make friends with his spellcaster-sort-of-cousin Reginald instead.
Nina, meanwhile, read some werewolf books and managed to unlock the “Lunar Epiphany” ability that allows her to read secret werewolf writings! She also did a lot of exploring in the underground tunnels (opening up the passage between the bunker and the sewers), and suffered another rampage. Fortunately, James was able to keep her well away from people and around the mountain area instead, and she too gained the ability to transform at will, yay! :) Her MAIN goal this time, though, was to join the Wildfangs pack! She made good friends with Rory, ended up a friend of the pack, then took a look at the trials. Talking about her Lunar Epiphany and showing off her scavenging skills were easy to do, but it took wandering around Greg’s place post-rampage and finding an awesome frog to hand over to Rory to actually gain access to the pack. But now she’s officially an Omega Wildfang, w00! Hopefully that’ll open up some interesting gameplay going forward. . .
So yeah, siblings have been busy! I’m looking forward to seeing more of their adventures – and possibly Reginald’s too, as James has admitted to maybe wanting to do the odd episode from his and even Brodie’s perspectives – see what it’s like from the OTHER side. I’m all for all the occult gameplay! :)
B) Then it was over to today’s Call Me Kevin: “I became the worst politician ever in Bitlife!” Yes, it’s Bitlife Chaos time again, this time with a political twist! Kevin created his politician, Pee Resident, then was off to the races! Races including studying political science at university, then going immediately into porn writing and porn acting for his career; successfully running for the school board by being nasty to his opponent and spreading rumors about them; dumping his first fiancee because, even though she was loaded, she demanded a pre-nup; resigning after his first school board term to avoid any scandals and becoming a cameraman to earn money to run for mayor; successfully becoming mayor by being nasty to his opponent and spreading rumors about them; resigning after the first term again to avoid any scandals and looking again for a job; getting no money after his mother died; getting into the habit of marrying old women for their money to get the cash to run for governor; becoming a surprisingly successful gaming YouTuber as a side gig somehow; eventually becoming governor of Ohio by being nasty to his opponent and spreading rumors about them; finally succumbing to the urge to just straight-up murder his richest and oldest spouse via hiring a hitman; getting stuck in a time loop of going to the casino to play blackjack, betting all his money, going bust, then leaping back one year (requiring him to redo the murder again and again) until FINALLY he won; attempting to run for president by being nasty to his opponent and spreading rumors about them – and losing; killing another politician after they attacked him; and finally dying at the ripe old age of 91 with some very weird dark secrets in his past. Also his best friend from childhood, Billy Joe, had an offscreen life of agony as he got addicted to cocaine, got rumbled for burglary, and died relatively young at 66. Kevin was basically just annoyed that he became a more successful gaming YouTuber in this life than he did in the one DEDICATED to becoming a YouTuber. XD
C) Then it was time to catch up on GrayStillPlays –
I. “100 things you should NEVER do with a pet” – aka, you know that Dog Life Simulator video he did a little while back? Yeah, there’s a cat version that he had to play as well. XD Complete with, again, growing the cat from a fetus into a kitten to start. This one is less complex than the dog one (and doesn’t have a hell meter to fill up to crash the game), and it permanently loops, so Gray did two run-throughs, one with picking only the “evil” options, one with picking only the “good” ones. The first resulted in a cat that smacked cakes into its owners’ faces, destroyed the house chasing a mouse once, LIFTED WEIGHTS WITH ITS OWNER, savaged a burglar, and became a singing sensation; the second in a cat that got dogs to fight its battles for it, destroyed the house by inviting all its alley cat friends over for a party, figured out how to change a lightbulb, and became a moonwalking sensation. Basically, either way, you got a perfectly Floridian cat. XD Just the way Gray likes it!
II. “I busted 200 myths in GTA 5” – time for more evil myth-busting boards in GTA V with Alex and Danny! This one was less parkour-focused and more silliness-focused, with myths ranging from the simple (snipe down a bird; hit a bird with an RPG; kill a pedestrian from a 100-story building with a molotov – Gray achieved all on his second or third try), to the “difficult for anyone” (jump from a car while skydiving, then try to get hit by your own falling car; headshot yourself with an RPG via teleport-gun); to the “difficult specifically for Gray” (survive a skydive by landing in a Jacuzzi; parachute up in a Ruiner car onto a windmill). Naturally, his innate determination allowed him to achieve them all, but those last two took more than a few tries, let me tell you. XD
3.Either play Sims 4 and do a building project (coffee shop) or watch some of the Sims videos in my Watch Later: Again, thanks to my brain getting caught up in “gotta wait to make sure I’m not interrupted by shit” mode, this is like – one seventh of a check or something. No gaming, but I did get caught up with onlyabidoang’s latest before supper: “The Sims 4: LUNAR CYCLE, TELESCOPE, NEW DEATH, AND MORE! (June 2022 Patch Update)!” This went over a lot of the new stuff added with the latest patch, including the update to how scenarios look (they REALLY want you to play them now); the new lunar cycle and some of the effects it has on Sims (like vampires get their energy passively regenerated on new moons, while spellcasters never fail spells on full moons); and the new backyard telescope – and the associated meteorite death. XD Pretty good stuff, and it’s nice to be able to have someone sum up a bunch of the new content! At least it’s SOMETHING out of the WL!
4. Work on tumblr drafts: Check – I didn’t do any FULL drafts, but I did get some starter posts in the drafts on Victor Luvs Alice for:
I. some random Smiler headcanons I’ve come up with
II. some ideas I’ve had specifically about Victor and his “sexual awakening” (involving Dracula)
III. some vague ideas for an all-occults coffee shop AU for Victor/Alice/Victoria/Emily/Smiler inspired by this one tumblr post I like
IV. a shitpost about how the Alton Towers coasters would be perfect for a Nightmare Before Christmas AU
V. and the three posts for this week’s Chill Save update with Smiler Always (getting the Water Conservation NAP repealed and their house party)
XD Stuff to work on for later! So that’s something, at least.
Additionally:
-->Okay, I meant for item 4 to be “edit Gigs’s birthday fic,” but for some reason I just went on automatic last night – but yes, I did indeed edit that fic, so it should be all good to go for this Thursday, yay! :) Hope you like, Gigs!
-->We did indeed play beanbags, though later than I thought (though that’s probably for the best, given how hot it was today – got to stay in the shade for it!) – and happily, today was one of those days where we each won once! Though Dad and I managed two wins each, w000. :p Final scores were me W-3-3-2-W; Dad 2-W-2-W-2; Mom 3-2-W-3-3. Not too shabby!
So, you see, I got stuff done, and I'm very glad to have all that stuff in my tumblr drafts and whatnot. . .I just REALLY wanted to empty out more of the YouTube stuff. Dang mental blocks! *sigh* Well, let's see what I can get done tomorrow:
1. Keep up on the FO4 Playthrough Progression
2. Catch up with YouTube Subs, Jon's next FO4: Legendary Roulette video
3. Play Fallout 4 and start touring the settlements
4. Work on tumblr drafts (specifically the Chill Save Update)
. . .you know what, I'm not gonna put "get in a workout" as a specific goal tomorrow. If I get one in, great; if I don't, I'll fill that time with the Plumbella videos I meant to watch yesterday. (Or possibly I'll combine the two; we'll see.) But if I can JUST get back on top of the Subs, I'll feel better and like I have more time for Watch Later stuff when I hit my long weekend. *presses fingers against eyes* I shouldn't be letting this stress me out, but it is, ugh. Again, darn brain!
So yeah, that's the plan for Sunday, if I don't melt from the heat. Now it's time to get back to social stuff and see what else I can accomplish this night. Night all!
