Like, it wasn't anything special, but I can't really complain about it either -- here's what I got done:

Work – Reasonably quiet day to end the week – mostly because one of my coworkers was out, so the other one wasn’t yammering on about shit. :p But yeah, I got the GL done, I went through the failed credit cards and fixed a few things, I took a couple other credit card calls, and I did some more roster maintenance. Nothing too exciting – though IT did upgrade my computer’s operating system to Windows 11. Not sure how I feel about that right now. *grumbles* Ah well, at least my home computer is still safe for now...

To-Do List

1. Get in a workout: Check – final night on the bike this week, and final night with “The Second Finale in Tiny Town Challenge! - Part 15” by James Turner! Finished off Krystoff’s Grand Finale, with the final chunklet featuring –

A) James finishing off the painting studio/conservatory (complete with a nice photo backdrop for more portraits); adding some decorations to the rest of the house, like plants and side tables and paintings (and turning what was formerly a balcony off the side of the bedroom into a walk-in wardrobe, since he had to enclose the place to prevent roof glitches on the conservatory’s glass roof); and building and decorating the nectar cellar (which, in addition to various nectar bottles and racks, also has a full nectar bar down there)! The whole thing looked really nice by the end – he really did an excellent job with this French Country Manor!

B) Krystoff painting portraits of his husband Rahul and his toddler niece Kyra for the spare room at the end of the “Hall of Excellence,” aka the Tiny Town Gallery under the community center! Rahul’s came out looking amazing, though James ended up having some trouble naming it because he forgot Rahul’s last name (“Chopra,” for the curious), clicked out of the “naming” dialogue box to look it up, and then discovered that you can only name a given painting once for some reason. XD So he had to make a NEW copy of the original painting so he could name it properly. XD Kyra’s fortunately had no such troubles and was very cute. So far they’re just chilling in the room right before the vault – we’ll see where they end up later!

C) Kyrstoff adopting a dog! Mostly because, right before what was supposed to be Krystoff’s final painting sale, the game triggered a random “pet adoption” event on the lot, and James was like “darn it, you guys will complain if I don’t get a pet now, won’t you?” So he picked stray dog Kaya (with her wild blue eyes) and had Krystoff take her in. :) She immediately got into a fight with a squirrel and got sick, necessitating a trip to the vet where, despite getting a wellness treat, she wouldn’t stop barfing as Krystoff tried to sell his final paintings. XD She was okay once they finally left the lot, fortunately, but damn. XD Lot of drama in one dog!

D) Krystoff struggling to sell his final set of paintings, poor guy – it seemed like, no matter where he tried (the MOMA museum in Evergreen Harbor; the vet clinic in Brindleton Bay; the Gnome’s Arms pub in Henford-On-Bagley; or his own home lot, also in Henford-On-Bagley), people just WEREN’T BUYING. The fact that it kept raining and knocking him out of tending his wall didn’t help. But he did FINALLY sell the last two after many, MANY attempts, and contributed an extra $15,000 to the “renovate the community center” fund. We appreciate your sacrifice, Krystoff! Even if you probably have the nicest house so far. XD

And that is that! Next time, we have a third Grand Finale episode – time to see if Scarlett, Camillo, or Pablo is the lucky one to finish off their house! (Well, actually, I already know that Camillo has his grand finale later from looking ahead in the playlist, but I genuinely don’t know if Scarlett or Pablo is next – we’ll find out, I suppose!)

2. Continue working on “A Murder Shared Is A Murder Thirded”: Check – finished off Chapter One today, with Victor apologizing for complaining so much about the food (Alice: Actually, in my opinion, you’re not complaining enough for a toff stuck in Six Towers) and promising to talk to his father after everything is sorted about helping the poor with their meals; Victor discovering a still-living caterpillar in his loaf, and what shall soon be Sooty the raven showing up to finish it for him; and the gang preparing to head upstairs to help Elder Gutknecht catalog some more books and have another root through the library before they head out to end Bumby, figuratively and/or literally. :) So that’s that sorted – tomorrow, I’ll see about at least getting a start on the final editing pass for AO3!

3. Keep up with YouTube Subs: One-third check – between participating in the weekly family Game Night (Parcheesi – Dad won the first game, I won the second), wanting to finish off Chapter One of “A Murder Shared Is A Murder Thirded,” and having to watch the final few minutes of the Tiny Town video from my workout before I could my write-up on it (it was EVER so slightly too long for my bike ride), I only had time for one video out of the three that were uploaded – two by Josh, one by Gray. And me being me, I went for GrayStillPlays and “Making millions by depleting the ocean,” aka Gray plays Scale The Depths! This is a cute pixely fishing game where you play as a fisher on the SS LIGMA, catching fish via dragging your line and hook into the ocean and smacking them against fish, scaling them with your trusty knife, and then feeding them to the various sea life that appears near the front of your boat. The sea life rewards you with money, and you use that money to upgrade your hook, your rod, and your scaling knife! Pretty simple game, really – the amusing part was Gray’s reactions to the various upgrades, sea life you could encounter, and fish you could catch. Because, well, the upgrades included turning your hook into a full-on TRIDENT and getting a CLAYMORE to scale your fish with; the sea life waiting for a meal included sea turtles, sharks, “ocras,” mermaids, and THE KRAKEN; and the fish you could catch ranged from anchovies to giant sunfish and LEVIATHANS. Which were too big to fully appear on the “scaling minigame” screen. XD It wasn’t a very long video – there’s not much to the game, and you can upgrade everything pretty quickly – but it was a fun one. :) Nice to have a mini palette cleanser between GTA V videos!

4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Check – again, nothing happening on Victor Luvs Alice (N Smiler), but I did have a reblog from Toonsisters regarding the “Snow Cream” question she sent in the other day on Valice Multiverse – she reassured Alice that she only scrapes the very top layer of a fresh snow, and only takes it from a place where she knows no animals are gonna show up – her back porch. And then she told everyone that she’s got a batch of chocolate snow cream that she’d like them to try! Alice was pleased to hear that cleanliness was a concern, while Victor and Smiler were basically like “yes chocolate gimme” XD We’ll see if that continues tomorrow!

And I'm flirting with staying up way too late (aka after 2 AM), so it's time for me to hit the sheets! Plans for tomorrow include working on my various drafts on Victor Luvs Alice (N Smiler); working some more on the Polyheart OT3 house in Sims 4; seeing about getting Chapter One of "A Murder Shared Is A Murder Thirded" edited for posting; and catching up on Josh Way's latest while keeping up with Gray and seeing if there's any other videos I can slip in from my Watch Later. We shall see. *nods* Night all!
