A Quiet Tuesday

crossover_chickOnce again, not much to report (other than it being a little warmer than normal today, which was nice), so let's get straight to the write-up --
Work – Pretty quiet day at work, honestly – I only had one credit card call; a couple calls from people checking on gifts; one request from my boss to put in a reasonably big bequest gift; and some roster maintenance to complete. *shrug* Nothing special at all! I’m honestly perfectly fine with that. :p We’ll see if anything more exciting happens tomorrow – Hopefully not!
To-Do List –
1. Get in a workout: Check – back on the bike again, and back to Tiny Town with “Yoga tour in Tiny Town Challenge! - Part 22” by James Turner! Which, as you might expect, is Camillo’s finale episode – or, rather, the first part of it, because Camillo seems to have TWO shorter episodes dedicated to finishing off his house rather than one longer one. O.o Not sure why, but I guess we’ll find out! Anyway, here’s the highlights of what happened in the first chunk of this video –
A) Camillo getting the Welcome Wagon (again) and attempting to get Reuben to pay him for a fertility massage during the visit – only for the first massage to glitch out and end early, and the second one to be interrupted by Judith Ward setting the pizza oven in Reuben’s “shop” on fire. Fortunately the shop had a sprinkler system installed, which put out the blaze and got Camillo some insurance money; UNFORTUNATELY replacing the burnt oven and counter cost more than he got in the payout, AND he was fined $500 for a “prank call” to the fire department because he called in some firefighters who only arrived AFTER the sprinklers kicked in and put the fire out. (And James didn’t even NOTICE Camillo getting fined because he was too busy talking about how he needed to earn money to fix the layout of the guy’s palace. XD Oh James.)
B) Camillo taking up a sidequest of maxing out his writing skill to get the “Poetic” reward trait so he can bind a Book of Life to Vivian (who wasn’t able to write one for herself in her episode – TECHNICALLY Camillo needs to complete the Bestselling Author aspiration to get that trait, but James was like “we already did all this with Vivian, so once he gets level 10 Writing I will just cheat in the trait,” which fair), setting up the desk in the town center with the needs-boosting plumbite, his portable speaker blasting New Age music, and his incense burner so he could enjoy peaceful surroundings for his own aspiration –
Only to immediately somehow set his chair, and thus himself, on fire with the incense. XD Fortunately he was able to put both out quickly, but man. That is not a good start to one’s finale episode! XD
C) Camillo going to the big fancy spa that James put in Windenburg, then to the bistro he stuck in Willow Creek, to host some yoga classes and earn some money! The one that he hosted out on the street in Willow Creek was much more successful (mostly because the participants could put their mats down wherever and join in, rather than complaining they couldn’t get to the pre-placed mats in the spa), but it did nearly result in Camillo and his students freezing to death because it was a fucking cold day in fall outside. XD Might want to consider looking for somewhere indoors for him to hold the next class, James!
D) And Camillo coming home to work on his needs a bit (and discover the power of earbuds in helping him listen to his New Age tunes) – only for James to discover that Camillo’s “luxe” bed is apparently total garbage as the guy had to sleep basically all day to recover his energy! Which seems a little odd to him, given that the bed is Energy 5 and thus not exactly the worst. However, I’m wondering if the problem might relate to the earbuds – because I’m not entirely sure James ever turned them off… *shrug* Camillo probably could just use a better bed, though.
And that’s where I left off! Tomorrow, we’ll see where this first finale episode goes from here – probably just more of Camillo writing and hosting yoga classes, but perhaps there will be more chaos as well. James’s Sims are generally good for a bit of chaos, at least. :P
2. Continue working on “Londerland Bloodlines: Downtown Queensland”: Check – about a page and a half today, with Alice reporting to Strauss that she’d killed off the last of the plaguebearer cultists, learned who was really in charge of them (clearing the names of the Anarchs in the process), and oh yes discovered its headquarters was RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET. Strauss was a bit embarrassed about that last one. XD Alice also requested a magical checkup to make absolutely damn sure she hadn’t been infected, which Strauss was happy to help with – and while she was slightly nervous about letting him have a couple drops of her blood (as she probably should be, as he is a Tremere, and they are the blood magic clan), Cheshire assured her that in this instance, it would be safe enough. Because Strauss DOES want to make sure this plague is well and truly ended, like any sane vampire. Anyway, I left it off with him heading off to do the blood test, and Alice amusing herself by reading the titles on some of the books (with Wonderland telling her that she should remember the one called “A History Of Gargoyles…”) – when we pick this up again, Strauss will return with Alice’s results – which shall contain some interesting information Alice did not know...
3. Keep up with YouTube Subs: Substitution Check – Josh and Gray not uploading on Tuesdays meant it was time instead to watch “CaFae Latte Season 27 - TikTok Compilation” by C. M. Alongi! Featuring Husniya (Muslim) and Rethu (Jewish) talking about the situation in Gaza and their respective histories and experiences being persecuted for their religions (some very heavy stuff, as you might expect – I wanted them to hug it out, but, well, given they’re played by the same person…); JC and Cyrus dealing with an asshole customer trying to push Jesusween on them (with Cyrus pointing out that “Holyween was right there!”); Nicole changing her pins to reflect the fact that she’d started identifying as lesbian (as it can be defined as “non-man attracted to non-men,” and she’s always been attracted to enbies as well as women) and them assuring a werewolf customer that no, she wasn’t being a transphobe before, she just made an honest mistake; and the gang discussing Halloween plans, including how Husniya plans to celebrate the holiday (her mosque sends the kids out to ask for donations to a food shelf and shelter, apparently – and yes, they get candy too, don’t worry) – only for Rethu to get a call from their sister about someone apparently stealing her egg… Looking forward to moving onto Season 28 now, that’s for sure!

A) For Wednesday – my “Accidental Severance Outfits (+ Bonuses)” CAS Lookbook post, featuring those outfits I put Victor, Alice, and Smiler into on Valicertine’s Day (yay)
B) For Thursday – a reblog of a post about how the poster is not okay, because little fictional bastards in their head are kissing (which is a mood)
C) For Friday – a reblog of PolyamShip’s “Multiamory March” prompt list, because I’m doing that this year (along with a note in the tags about how this was obviously fate because I noticed while reblogging it it was originally posted on my birthday XD)
I was GOING to get my Song Saturday post sorted as well, but – okay. I kind of wanted to do a more explicitly polyamorous song because Saturday will be the start of Multiamory March – and having recently reblogged the two in my “#song saturday” tag for Polyship Week 2024, I pulled up the spreadsheet of poly songs maintained by PolyamorousMoods and started listening to some of those. Unfortunately, most of the songs just didn’t hit with me (they weren’t BAD, they just weren’t the right vibes for my trio), and the one that did – well, the lyrics made me think it would be better posted a little later in the month, around the time that I do the one “Running Into The Bullshit” (aka nine-person polyclue) prompt. So I’ll have to come back to this tomorrow, it seems! Hmmm...
Valice Multiverse – And we had two things over here for THIS queue:
A) Another reblog on the thread with TheCovenWars and their characters Mouse and Venus interacting with the Forgotten Vows!Victor and Alice – Mouse just explained to Victor that they and Venus wander around from town to town, with Mouse picking up what work they could and trying to help Venus remember who she is. Victor’s response was “it’s just the two of you” in tones of growing concern, because – yeah, Venus is seven, and Mouse is explicitly a teenager. With crutches. Yes, he’s a bit worried about them – wouldn’t you be?
B) And an ask from The Satirical Demon, featuring a very creepy extract from a “Mekhanite Garou’s” prayer book, talking about how much they loathe their flesh, how much they seek the comfort and power of steel, and how they will serve the Machine Messiah even in death. Londerland Bloodlines!Alice was like “...didn’t think werewolves could get scarier.” Which, honestly, fair – that was creepy. O.o
Aaand said write-up just took longer than anticipated (to be fair I got distracted by some stuff along the way), so I really need to get to bed. ^^; Gotta get a better handle on my timekeeping these days...night all!
