Pretty Good Wednesday

Today was a reasonably chill day, with plenty of stuff accomplished, yay:
Work – Fairly quiet day at work today – while I was a little worried about how it was going to go when the check scanner jammed and then refused to restart at the beginning of the day (fortunately unplugging it and then plugging it back in worked), and I did have a slightly-awkward call with someone who set up an ongoing gift when she was TRYING to set up her pledge with online payments (two very different gift types, those – got it resolved, though), most of the rest of my day was largely roster maintenance stuff (obituaries and marking people inactive) and looking things up for my boss/coworkers. And having a brief call with the credit card people to tell them “hey, please fix this wonky source code.” Nothing of any great import, which is just fine with me. *nods* We’ll see how tomorrow goes!
To-Do List –
1. Get in a workout: Check – another night on the bike, another night with “It's sunset for Sonny in Tiny Town Challenge! - Part 27” by James Turner! The “wrapping up Sonny and Judith’s story” shenanigans continued in today’s chunklet, which saw such highlights as:
A) Judith attempting to be nice to people, only to be sabotaged by what I assume is a terrible reputation (just saying “hi” to the gardener immediately made said gardener dislike her...not enough to not give her a hand massage at Camillo’s place, though), so James fell back on having her give money and other gifts to people to make them like her more and try to swap out that “Mean” trait for “Good.” This – sort of worked. What happened was, after gifting some money to Sonny (well, sort of, since they live together nothing actually was deleted or added to their bank account), the game offered to swap Judith’s “Mean” trait out for “Generous,” which James decided was good enough and accepted. Except it didn’t actually swap the traits, it just deleted her “Mean” trait, because “Generous” actually conflicts with her “Materialistic” trait and thus couldn’t be added. Upon discovering that with the power of cheats, James just went “screw it, I tried” and added the “Good” trait in its stead. XD You did try, James! And you got what you wanted in the end.
B) Judith and Sonny getting married – in Sulani, of course, on a beautiful beach wedding lot James found on the Gallery. :) The wedding went – mostly good. As usual, there was the usual nonsense with Sims wandering off to do their own thing, plus random Sims showing up at the venue apparently to just hang out and take advantage of the chocolate fountain. Which led to an interesting moment with Mortimer Goth standing right in front of the kissing couple at the arch in his zebra print speedos. XD Sonny and Judith also almost got married in their swimwear because the arch was placed a littttle too close to the water and thus auto-triggered them changing when they got close. XD But James managed to wrangle the happy couple and their guests, have a nice ceremony, and slowly but surely kick out all the wedding crashers. XD Ah, this game…
C) Judith and Sonny starting their family! Via woohooing in a bush James placed on the wedding venue lot. XD But yes, that sneaky woohoo led to Judith getting pregnant, and now she is wandering around with a lovely motherly glow – when she isn’t puking in Vivienne’s bushes. XD
D) And James doing a TINY bit of house renovation by having Sonny get a hot tub for the back porch, since he felt like they needed one. Sonny then threw a pseudo-house party via inviting the rest of his siblings/nephew over for a club gathering, taking control of the club, and directing everyone to hang out in the hot tub and watch his ridiculously small TV. And eat food, lovingly prepared by Semaj, who happened to be the one who showed up when Sonny hired a caterer for the event. XD
So yeah – things are going pretty well for Sonny and Judith! Tomorrow, we’ll wrap this up with the end of the club gathering and I presume the birth of the pair’s baby – and then...well. I was hoping to finish off the Tiny Town stuff in one clean sweep (as the only remaining episode is Silas’s Grand Finale), but that final episode is going to be JUST too long to fit into the next two days thanks to me having to do a shorter work-out on Monday. So instead we’ll go back to the Sims 2 LP, since the next episode of THAT should be just short enough to fit. *nods* We’ll see what happens tomorrow, though!
2. Continue working on Multiamory March prompts: Check – got both “Day 29: Vampire AU” (the Londerland Bloodlines story with Victor’s thoughts on how lucky he is to have both Alice and Smiler as loving domitors) and “Day 30: Kard Hola Hola MV” (the Modern AU story of the trio playing cards on the beach at the end of their Valicer Roadtrip) edited today! Though the former took longer than the latter, given it ended up going over my self-imposed limit of 500 words and had to be trimmed back a bit. Got it down to 499, though! (The Day 30 story was 432, if you were wondering). This just leaves me with “Day 31: Morning Routine” to edit tomorrow – and then it’s just a matter of getting them in the queue! And then getting back to the stories I’m MEANT to be writing. XD I promise you all we will see more “Londerland Bloodlines: Downtown Queensland” and “A Murder Shared Is A Murder Thirded” as soon as I can manage!
3. Keep up with YouTube Subs: Check, though for a while there I thought it was going to be a Substitution Check – GrayStillPlays uploaded late today! But he did upload, and so I watched “GTA 5 but every 60 seconds you gain a new part” this night! This was another “race across the map” board, with Gray having to get from one side of Los Santos and the surrounding area to the other in seven and a half minutes. While dealing with not only the police chasing him, but also meteors falling from the sky on a regular basis. Because Alex and his team are evil. XD On the plus side, as per the title, every minute Gray got a new part on his car to represent a different upgrade – starting with new hubcaps for a hydraulics upgrade, then moving through rocket launchers (which blew him up almost as much as he blew other people up); boosters on the back; a weird floaty jump ability (represented by two gumball machines mounted on either side); a battery-boosted engine; a teleporter that he could use to skip forward (with pretty much no cooldown); and finally a repelling field (to bounce everyone else around him away). On the minus side, Alex and company made damn sure to sprinkle in lots of unique obstacles that Gray could only solve with the right combination of upgrades – from simple platforms he had to jump with the hydraulics, to breakable walls he had to shoot his way through, to jumps that he had to boost-and-float his way across, to full-on walls he had to teleport past. Meaning the only way to win was to, as Gray said, learn the course! A process that took more than a few tries, and more than a few failures. Poor dude was smashed by meteors rather a lot. XD But eventually, after a lot of trial and error, he was able to get to the end and zoom his way through the win! JUST ahead of the car blowing up because he was technically out of time. XD Good stuff – maybe not as chaotic as a full-on chaos mod board, but it was still pleasantly ridiculous!
4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Substitution Check – just Victor Luvs Alice (N Smiler) today, and while my queue for that blog is set for a couple days yet, I did:
A) Reblog my friend Newt’s response to his little birthday fic – he thought it was brills, happily. :D I told him I just HAD to do something with the pun after I thought it up XD
B) Put a couple of the Severance posts I saw earlier on my dash into my drafts – specifically a gifset comparing Helly R. (Mark S. the Innie’s love interest) to Gemma Scout (Mark Scout the Outie’s lost and trapped wife) and showing how similar they are; and some really nice art of Helly R. So I’ll have that to post up later. :)
*nods* Not bad at all. And now it is time for me to head to bed. Hopefully Thursday follows this same pattern -- night all!
