My Sims Are Busy

crossover_chickOr, at least, one family in particular was. The other two had fairly quiet days, to be honest. I played: the McFlys from Hill Valley, the Mathews from Twin Oaks Park, and the Robinsons from Twin Oaks Park, for one day each.
-M: That's a lot of families.-
A lot of Sims as well. But I think I got everything I wanted accomplished.
Hill Valley McFlys:
I played them through your typical Wednesday. As Marty had gotten an energizer boost the last time I played, he stayed up most of the night playing guitar.
-M2: *grin* Sounds pretty accurate to me.-
Everyone else proceeded to get up around six -- Dave served cereal for everyone. He and Linda went to work, and Marty to school, leaving George and Lorraine with the house. George fixed a broken shower, then he and Lorraine did a little romancing before going to work on skills -- George on Logic, Lorraine on Cooking. Marty came home with the $100 "proud relatives" chance card, and brought home a teenager named Orlando. They didn't do much talking, though, as I was busy with everyone else. Dave and Linda came home at the same time, both with promotions -- Dave to Senior Manager, Linda to Record Store Clerk. Linda also brought home coworker Marylena. The entire family had some grilled cheese together:
Then Linda and Marylena went off to play darts while Dave earned the skills necessary to his next promotion. Lorraine helped Marty with his homework while George painted.
Marty stayed up late once again playing guitar, then everyone went to bed.
Over in Twin Oaks Park, I decided I ought to play the Mathews family. Mark and Carrie both woke up fairly early -- I purchased the cheap shower for them so they had something other than the tub. I also noticed that I was wrong -- the Mathews are the poorest family in Twin Oaks, not the Robinsons. They only had about 4,000 simoleons in their bank account when I left them -- the Robinsons have about 7,000. Then again, the Robinsons don't have a TV or anything like that. Hmmm.
Anyway, Mark went to school, Carrie to work, both came home about the same time. Mark also brought a classmate -- Lucy Childs! Well, like hell was I going to let them become friends. After letting both Mark and Carrie green, I had Mark argue viciously with Lucy.
-TD: You tell that bitch!-
:D Well, in this world, he did date your sister briefly, so he knows how evil she is. (And is it just me, or does Lucy sorta look like a monkey?)
-H: She looks like a monkey.-
Anyway, around that time, the dishwasher broke. Carrie ended up hiring a repairguy
but just for a bit, I was tempted to have her influence Lucy into fixing it.
-D: . . . You can do that?-
Yup.
-VD: Why didn't you?-
I dunno -- I guess I still like the cowplant idea better.
-Docs: *evil laughter*-
Anyway, Mark then called up Emily to chat, then asked Carrie if he could go out. He got the go-ahead (I didn't worry about his homework, it was Friday), and promptly called Kat to go out with her. She arrived at eight, and they headed out on the town.
He came home around midnight, took a bubble bath, and that's where I saved.
-E: Kat and Mark really like each other, huh?-
Well, I designed them too. I'm eagerly awaiting Nightlife though -- Mark needs to have something done to him. . . .
The Robinsons were a bit tricky. It was Monday for them, Gypsy's first day of school ever. They had some toaster pastries for breakfast (Marie needed a second helping), then Gypsy headed off to private school. Daniel studied cooking as Marie napped. Around 2:40, I had her get up and call Doc. I had them chat a little at first, to get the relationship up, then Marie invited him over. Gypsy came home with a B+ and started playing with her dollhouse. Emmett came over, and was greeted by Daniel Robinson:
And after chatting with him -- he met Gypsy.
As you can see, they got on VERY well -- the relationship was in the high 40s by the time Doc left. Very good sign. :D
-D: *grin* She's such a cutie.-
Wait until she grows up. Then it was off to bed with everyone -- I saved as the parents retired for the night. At around 10:00, Marie went through her birth cinematic. I got a boy, so I exited to the neighborhood and tried again. The second time, I got my desired girl. Everyone, welcome April May Robinson.
It looks like she has her father's eyes and her mother's hair -- we'll see when she grows into a toddler later.
After making sure April was adequately socialized and fed, everyone went to sleep, and I saved.

I know. Coming up tomorrow should be Emily's wedding to Sabastian. It'll be a private affair -- Emmett, Holly, John, and Arazel, her closest friends.
-VD2: Good idea.-
-OD: *is elevated on tentacles to avoid plot bunnies* VIC!-
Wha -- Holy crap.
-DW: There's NO WAY I'll be able to thin this population on my own.-
-M: Plot bunnies everywhere!-
Damned Girl Genius! Shoo! Shoo!

-TD: I don't think that's going to work.-
-AJ: I suppose we should be happy most of them apply to fanart. . . .-
-MDC: *bimfs in* What's with the bunnies?-
Plot bunny infestation -- TeenDoc fanart ideas mostly.
-MDC: *pulls out a firework he nicked from somewhere* *grins evilly* Need a little help?-
-J: He is technically Austrailian, they would know how to deal with bunnies.-
All righty then. Fire in the hole! *all flee*
