Work was hellish today. I came in to discover that B, my coworker, had basically been swamped with clothing orders. This sets the tone for the rest of the day -- which is, customers coming in constantly and us trying desperately to keep up, as well as deal with a long line of clothes in the back. On top of that, we're also cleaning, pressing, and boxing blankets (cheaply-made ones at that, yarn EVERYWHERE) for the victims of hurricane Katrina. I was basically rushed off my feet all day. Even ended up staying a half-hour over to help move the still-unfinished boxes out of the rain (it was threatening to storm all day today).
-D: At least you didn't stay grumpy when you came home.-
Well, my cousin had left some cookies for me. . . .

No Sims today, though I had a massive update in [livejournal.com profile] revison_doc. Speaking of which, I do have to find a Nightlife-compatible abduction telescope. Might post about that in the Sims 2 comm.
-TD: Tell me again why our Simself needs to be abducted by aliens.-
Because I want at least one alien birth and I think it would be funny.
-H: *giggling* I agree.-
-TD: -.- You would.-
-M: Are you still going to have one version of my dad abducted?-
Yup, most likely Strangetown George. I'm still going to call a boy Darth.
-M2: Much as I hate to say it, I could actually see Dad doing that.-
-VD2: What about your fiction?-
Hey, I'm working on it right now. "Eight Arms to Hold You." I'm up to Chapter 10, the really nice chapter for OckDoc.
-OD: *tentacles squee* Well that's good. But how about acting on some of these fanart ideas?-
I am tempted to do "Warsies," I admit. . . .
-J: "Warsies?"-
Name for Star Wars fans. Specifically, [livejournal.com profile] anonymoose_au's TeenGeorge and my TeenDoc playbattling with "lightsabers."
-TD: ^^;; I like the technology!-
I'm aware of that, given your attempts to build a lightsaber.
-VD: You really have to be careful with that, TeenDoc -- we don't want you losing a limb, unlike every Jedi who ever lived.-
Yeah, the Prequel Trilogy Jedi were quite prone to getting stuff hacked off, huh? Lightsabers are dangerous.
-TD: I'm being careful. I always make sure the "active" end is pointed away from me. And I use safety equipment.-
I certainly hope so.
-TD: I have no choice. You think it's sexy.-
^^;;
-D: That's one thing I don't mind. Better safe than sorry.-
Precisely. *patpats* And if you look good doing it, so much the better.
-D: *rolls eyes*-
Back to writing, then to bed. I really gotta start getting more sleep. *yawn* Oh well, that's what weekends are for.

Make him be careful! AL's got living proof of what lightsabers can do to people.

AL: *snags the keyboard* And FEELING a hand getting cut off is just as bad! Hell, if I let the link open enough after that happen, my own hand would turn black from the wrist to my fingertips. *shudder* I still have his scream in my head. *gets dragged away from the computer by Luke*

Lightsabres? I LIKE It!

George: Damn! What I wouldn't have given to have a lightsabre in my youth, I'd have shown Biff and his gang a thing or two!

Indeed! Great idea, Vic, I look forward to seeing it! :O)

Sorry George, but if you had a lightsaber when you were a kid, I dare say you'd probably accidentally maim yourself with it. You weren't always the most coordinated of individuals. Not to mention what would've happened if you lost it and then Biff and his cronies had found it. Or if they stole it.

-TD: I AM being careful! Being a Spark doesn't give you a mental block against safety!
. . .
I don't think.-
He'll be careful, don't worry. None of the Docs would want anybody really getting hurt from any of their experiments.

Heh, good point. Still, always nice to dream, right George? ;)

-TD: *tosses TeenGeorge a flashlight* You be Darth Vader, I'll be Obi-Wan Kenobi.-

No! I Wanna Be The Good One!

You be Darth Vader, besides you can manage a deeper voice I'm sure, I mean me saying "I am your father."? Who'd be afraid of that!

But you're right, I'm so unccordinated I'm sure I'd only manage to chop my own hand off...but then at least I'd be able to play Luke Skywalker.

:O)

TD: But I like Obi-Wan Kenobi! You're the one who should be Darth Vader obsessed, especially after that incident in 1955!
Although -- you could be Luke Skywalker and I could be Obi-Wan training you in the ways of the lightsaber. How's that?
