Okay, NOW It's Cold
Sep. 30th, 2005 11:27 pmYou know the temperature is dropping when my drycleaners' stops being the seventh level of hell heat-wise and starts being COMFORTABLE. I actually had my jacket on for most of the day. *is wearing a hoodie currently*
-TD: What's with the sudden temperature drop?!-
Don't ask me. It's supposed to get back into the 70s again tomorrow -- we'll see. I plan to spend a lot of time under my nice warm blankets.
Had my Sims fix today -- Hill Valley. I've come up with a plan for Hill Valley -- I have a steady population at the moment, but very little in the way of community lots. Now that Nightlife gives you more choices, I intend to rectify that. To whit, each time I play Hill Valley, I will play one family for a day or so, then spend the rest of my Sims time on construction projects to fill up the neighborhood.
This became especially clear when I played the Parkers today. It was Sunday, luckily, both Jennifer and Robert's day off. One thing I hate about the automatic need refresh -- oftentimes the Sims get exhausted by the time work/school runs around (I often stop in the middle of their nights). I had them do the ReNuYu thing -- Rober went from liking Fitness, Vampirism and hating Custom Hair to liking Fitness, Swimwear, and hating Glasses.
-J: Swimwear?-
Why not? ;D Jennifer went from liking Facial Hair, Custom Hair and hating Fatness to liking Brown Hair, Cologne, and hating Fatness.
-J2: Does sound about right. *huggles Marty2*-
I let them fool around until breakfast -- here's a shot of the missing Sim on the Milk Carton.

After having them skill a bit -- Jennifer Mechanical, Robert body, I had Jennifer call Marty over to get a Chemistry Check. 1 bolt of chemistry for Marty -- probably due to the fact I haven't yet done his turn-ons over to match her. (I know he's currently attracted to red hair, but that's it.)
-M: O.o-
-J: Well, you DO look at those girls from the aerobics classes.-
-M: YOU look at the guys.-
She does think you're hot, though (I LOVE scope room):

After that it was lunch and naps. Sandy Bruty lost her friendship status with Jennifer while they slept -- I had Jennifer call her up after they woke up and refriend her. After Jennifer was done there, I had Robert call up the Gypsy Matchmaker. Hey, he's a widower -- he deserves to have first shot.

I had Robert pay about 2,500 dollars for a date -- the Gypsy consulted her crystal ball, and out of the sky dropped Veronica Lind.

My first ever Date was spent completely at home as I realized I really had nowhere for them to go. They spent most of it chatting and sharing jokes. They only had an Okay Date, but at least he has a potential new friend.

And a Check Sim Out interaction revealed a bit of chemistry -- maybe it is true love.

-AJ: She wouldn't be too bad. So long as she had a nice personality.-
She's family, and she didn't seem overtly mean. However, she has some competition.
From the Gypsy Matchmaker.

Yup -- apparently Robert has a bolt of chemistry with the matchmaker herself. Tempting, tempting. . . .
-VJ: At least I wouldn't have to worry about younger brothers or sisters.-
True, true. I also got them a car -- the Smoogo, simply because it seems to fit the best.

-J: *mutter* It does make sense, but damn. . . .-
Hey, at least you have a car. I have no idea what I'm going to do re: The McFly house at the moment. They have TWO cars and no room to put them anywhere.
-M: Whoops.-
Yeah, really.
My construction project for the day was Courthouse Square (I also did a bit with the Burger King, but all I did was lay out furniture -- no walls). Here's how it's going so far:

That's the ground floor -- I have "Cupid's Adult Shop" (the pink and red place), two public bathrooms standing in for "Bonds and Loans," a clothing store standing in for "Mr. Foster's Travel Agency," a random supermarket, and the Essex Theater. Not quite sure what I'll put in the rest of it.

I'm also not sure what I'll do with the courthouse -- I turned the upstairs bit into a reading room, as seen here -- so maybe a library?

Pic of Square with Roofs -- don't ask me why the supermarket is green. I also need a big decorative clock and gargoyles for the clock tower. 1885's will be the easiest to reproduce -- yay for not quite finished-ness. I also have to designate a Hell Valley lot or two -- forgot about that, shockingly enough.
-VD2: *mutter* Wish I could.-
*patpats*
Anyway, gotta go either write or sleep. Both sound good, honestly.
Oh, wait, quiz from
