It's So Hot In Summer

crossover_chickSo why is my drycleaner's suddenly FREEZING in the winter?! I thought the heat from the presses would keep it reasonable! I was shivering my whole time there!
-TD: All the more reason to let me work on the weather changing device!-
The weather changing device could be a global catastrophe if it gets out of hand. No.
-M: Why not just a furnace?-
-TD: Bah, too simplistic for my tastes.-
-M2: Well, you wouldn't have to build an ordinary furnace. . . .-
-VM: A portable one maybe?-
-TD: Hmm, has potential. . . .-
-D: That's not a bad idea. You could wear it as a backpack. The only problem would be the smoke from the fuel.-
-VD: I'd like something that made hot drinks on command.-
-VD2: Yes -- freshly warmed blood for us, maybe hot chocolate for you mortals.-
-DW: Or hot tea or any other drink, really. I'd like some nonalcoholic cider myself.-
-OD: That would be a good winter design. *tentacles nod* What say we--
-TD: A portable furnace/hot chocolate maker! Perfect! *runs off to lab*-
*. . . .*
-D: What the hell, I'm game.-

This should be interesting. Keeps them out of my hair for a while as well.
-VM: Not doing much with fan fiction, are ya?-
*blush* You really have to poke me to edit and do the multi-chapter story intro pages. I'm also caught up in NaNoWriMo and in doing "Personal Belongings" before I run out of November.
Hill Valley Sims Day -- A Parker Monday, and a fairly boring one at that. Jennifer continued a painting while I had Robert try out yoga.
After a breakfast of toaster pastries, they were off to work and school. Jennifer got a school fundraiser chance card and won 100 simoleons for a great cookie recipe. She came home, made herself some lunch, and invited over her pal Ricky. I had them play some Red Hands and joke around. They proceeded to make best friends, pushing Jennifer into platinum.
Robert came home from work while they were busy, with a promotion to Vice Squad and a friend -- William McFly! I let them talk for a while, and noticed something interesting -- in uniform, Robert looks shockingly like a fat William.
-M: O.o-
-M2: Disturbing.-
-J: You better not make anything out of this.-
Wouldn't dream of it. I actually changed Robert's hairstyle after the encounter -- he now has the slightly balding ToP Robert hair.
It's honestly more canon, Jennifer's father in the movie looks to be balding.
After Ricky and Will went home, it was the usual routine. Jennifer funned and did homework, Robert had supper, and both talked to friends -- Amin called Robert and Jennifer called George.
All in all, not a bad day, if not an exciting one.
After the Parkers, I decided I've been neglecting Hill Valley University for too long and did a lot for that -- the HVU Library.
I sort of based it off memories of my college library and other libraries I've been in. The first floor has a lot of bookshelves, a couple of chess games, a "reference desk" (actually a place to buy magazines, games, and cologne), a electronics vending machine, and a bank of computers.
The second floor I wanted to look like a real library, so I put bookshelves all along the walls, then did rows of them in the middle. I also put in lots of couches and a table to work at.

Thanks. I'll go back and add some fun stuff around it too later. I also set up empty lots for a school restaurant and gym. :)
Yay! And I plan to try and up wordcount even more over the weekend. It's the end of the line!
-MDC: *puts on "It's The End of the World"*-
*sticks out tongue at* Now to work on "Personal Belongings" while the boys are distracted.
-M: Our cue to leave. Come on Jennifers.-
One more thing -- I've added Transylvania Polynogstic University and Hogwarts to my Schools. TransPolyU is where Agatha attended school prior to her BreakThrough, and Hogwarts should be obvious to all. I submitted Hill Valley High School, let's hope it gets on!
