Progress Report

crossover_chick1) Pick up Mom and Dad's presents. Will be doing that tomorrow -- the car's finally fixed.
2) Post "Spirit of the Season." Unfortunately, I'm debating on whether to turn this into a multi-chapter fic. I promise it'll be up by Christmas Eve, no matter what.
3) Post a holiday picture -- if possible, "Happy Diverse Holidays." I've got a sketch ready for "Happy Diverse Holidays" (the joke's changed because drawing all six Docs once was enough for my meager artistic talents). I'm gonna continue working on that.
4) Let Emmett Von Braun host a little Holiday bash on December 24th. No progress here -- no Sims today.
5) Decorate the Sim Muse House to show you sort of what we did with the real one. Ran into a slight snag -- not sure exactly HOW to download the decorations. I'll try to figure it out.

-H: You're gonna make "Spirit of the Season" multi-chapter?-
Maybe. Here's the thing with its current "short story" form -- I have a couple of paragraphs that's all backstory. It's not necessarily bad (though I'm debating whether or not to mention one bit), but part of me thinks that I should cut it and replace it with actual events.
-VD: If you think you can write in the new events before Christmas Eve. . . .-
-VD2: What's the one bit you're debating on?-
John Thurston is supposed to be rather like John Morte. I don't know if mentioning Holly's interracial marriage (which I know would have been REALLY frowned upon back in the 40s, but Holly's not one to listen to convention at ALL -- and besides, she's pretty snubbed herself, just like Doc already) detracts from the flow of the story. The best way to work it in would be the multi-chapter fic.
-H: I gotcha. *evil grin* If they think John is bad, I wonder how they'd react to Maxim.-
Screaming. Lots of screaming.
-TD: That sounds about right, yes.-
